Bad luck buck

The big buck didn't show up at all today---the day that R.J. drove 3+ hours one-way and sat here for 8 hours.

Saw lots of does, fawns and one anterless buck but not the target of choice.

Go figure!

Who would be so stupid to take a pic of themselves and put it on the 'Net only later to admit to it being a fake??

R.J is out in my driveway right now waiting for the big guy to come out. So far only a doe and an anterless buck has come along.

He should be coming out soon though (hopefully!).

The deer seem to be active around my place. Not as many were around yesterday afternoon as compared to late last week but I still saw 5 or 6. Keep in mind they are coming out searching for food but nonetheless, they are still moving about in this cold weather. My thermometer says -37 °C at 7:40 a.m....

Thanks! I don't know if I'm having more fun shooting them with a camera or with my bow!

Post on whatever website you wish!

I've seen the pics on one site so far.

Have you see them on any?

There's little doubt that TAC and his 19 point backyard buck are currently making their rounds in cyberspace. :)

The other day I was thinking that his rack is just too damn big for the shed trap. I'll rig something up with 2x4's in the next couple of days. I'm busy for a few days plus it's so cold out right now I certainly don't want to be spending too much time out there! Todd , we got a problem here lol , no...

I'm gonna have to get sponsorships for these pics. ;)

Came home after being away all weekend and the big guy was on the edge of the forest. The buck that I think was the 4-pointer I had seen in the fall came out with him.

Big difference in size!

No, but that's an interesting idea. My computer is about 35' from the window that they can be seen from though.

Food for thought this weekend though...

There's NINE of them out there right now. Most are yearlings. No big guy though.

Note the little spike buck. There was another doe just outside of the frame.

The big guy heard me slowly opening the window upstairs, looked up, stomped a few times, let out a snort and took off. The rest scattered with him.
