Mechanicals and carbons

Hey there.
Looking for suggestions. I'm shooting an Exomax and looking to switch to carbons and mechanicals for this season. Will be used mainly for bear but deer as well.

Thanks

I use this for geese. Might be good for turkey as well.

2 cups ketchup
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 can coke

Do this in a crock pot of 8 hrs and its great. I sometimes cut the ketchup with bbq sauce.

Looking for a butcher

Can anyone suggest a good butcher around the Milton or Cambridge area. I'm doing some hunting between the two and need a place to take a deer if I get one. I was out this moring and had 3 does come in but no shot. Maybe tomorrow.

Dont quote me but you might be a little late. Over the past 5 years that I've been bear hunting I have found that things really cool off after Sept. Don't know if a bears diet changes as the first frost approaches and it starts to get colder. All of my bears have been shot withing the first 2 weeks ...

Bears are great to eat. I have eaten all of the bears that I have taken and shared the meat with my co-workers and they all loved it. It can be made into sausage, ground up, steaks, chops, roasts etc. My preference is sausage and ground meat. As far as them being risky to eat. That is somewhat true....

Excalibur strikes again

On Saturday I managed to put my bear tag on a blackie taken with my Exomax. That's 2-2 the last 2 seasons. I started baiting the begining of August and withing 10 days my bait was being hit. I restocked it a couple of time and every time I went there it had been hit. I went out on opening day (Sept ...

Lucky you. No more spring bear hunt in Ontario so I'll have to wait until Sept for my chance. Good luck.

No worries. I've taken two bear with my bows. One back in 2000 with my new Exocet and one last year with my new Exomax. Complete pass through with both bears. If your buddy is worried about going out alone stay together and have someone video. When I go alone I always take my shotgun with me. later ...

Pass on shots 2,3 and 6. Two of the shots are quartering toward you and the other has left leg back.
