Spypoint Solar Battery Combo?
Hi folks Has anyone tried this solar internal battery combo from Spypoint, with a Link Micro series camera? https://www.spypoint.com/en/products/lithium-battery-solar-panel/splb-22 A buddy uses something similar with the Tacticam and raves about it, and I thought about giving it a shot with the Micr...

Re: Plots
Great feedback, thanks all! After talking with a few buddies, they agreed that food sources will likely draw better than any bedding material, that all depends on what is available to them in your area. the deer need to feel secure to use plots. in my area plots are not enough and now i am moving t...

Re: Plots
IThe problem I had was that a good snow fall flattens it. This unfortunately is the case with most crops. The only grasses that supposedly hold up to snow is the switchgrass and sorghum sudangrass. My supplier said straight peas will fold over as well from even a driving rain, but when mixed with t...

Re: Plots
Great feedback, thanks all! I talked to my local seed supplier and he recommended going with a forage pea/oat mix, which will grow to be approx. 5 ft tall and will provide a food source at the same time. After talking with a few buddies, they agreed that food sources will likely draw better than any...

Hi folks Must be the longer evenings that have me thinking about next season already! Anyone have experience with bedding/screening crops using no till methods? I tried my first plot last year using Jeff Sturgis's method, and it turned out awesome. Going to try something different with thinner food ...

Re: Spypoint Users?
I always use the Energizer lithiums in my cams and find they are great in any weather conditions. I blew through a set recently by accidently adjusting the trigger in a Browning camera, which still provided approx 10,000 photos before they were fully drained. If that helps as a guide anyway. Any oth...

Re: Spypoint Users?
That's a great point... probably worth while testing reception with a cell phone prior to purchasing. The area I would like to use then is thick bush, and would be littered with ticks in the spring. Having something remote without stinking it up walking in to pull cards is what I'm looking for. Do y...

Spypoint Users?
Hi folks
Looking at getting into the cellular cams and recall some posts a out the Spypoint cameras.
Anyone have any decent feedback or reviews?
Was looking at the Micro line in particular due to cost and low operating cost plans.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Re: Hunting platform
I'm looking to build something permanent like this now...
Don, where did you get the steel brackets to connect the legs to the platform?
Also, whats the width at the base with an 8x8 platform on 10ft 4x4s?
Thanks!

Elevated Platform Stands
Hi folks
Looking to build some sturdy permanent elevated platform stands, possibly fully enclosed pending weight.
Does anyone have any tried/tested safe plans or designs they have used? I was thinking of using PT wood.
Thanks!

Shooting Stick Types
Looking for some feedback on shooting sticks... mostly for target/ground blind use but would be nice to bring on a pack hunt if required. Have been leaning towards the Primos Trigger sticks for their ease and functionality, but not sure about bipod or tripod. Obviously weight and stability is the tr...

Ground Blind Recommendations
Hi all Thinking of picking up a pop up ground blind for the 2019 season after some good success (and comfort!) this past season in a borrowed one Looking for some feedback on ground blinds that people are using either good or bad. If you could share brand and model as there are 100s of options from ...
