I agree with most of the replies. Thanks for the concerm but I don't think that a cockeroo is for me. Went out again this pm and remembered to take along the cocking aid. Much easier job. How do you use the cocking aid to let the bow down.I probably won't use the method but Idon't understand how you...

Groundpounder Do not carry a loaded bow in a sling on your back. The old guy on the farm next to mine made a sling for his Excal from a length of bail string.I hear that he totes it around cocked and loaded. I shudder to think about it. He'll be found some day with an arrow through his skull and bow ...

Hope that you didn't have your new and best hunting boots on because now one of them leaks. :( I guess those new commercials from the Workmen's Comp Bd. have some truth in them--Accidents don't happen !--but carelessness does. :? I always let my bow down by hand not with the cocking aid. Pehaps that...

I've never tried this in a hunting blind but have used it in ice fishing shack. Put a roll of toilet paper in a tobacco tin.Soak the tp with methyl alcohol.Put the lid on the can. When you want heat open the can and touch a match to the tp.The methyl burns off with a very warm, blue flame. With a littl...

It might be related to the rut. No experience with deer and this phenomenon but my son and his buddy shot a gobbler some springs ago. The gobbler had been with some jakes. When he went down they ignored the shooting and immediately laid a beating on him. I guess they saw their chance and weren't goin...
