Re: Not a good Friday (picture added by popular demand) LOL

Sorry to hear about your boo boo. I lost the end of my thumb in an autolathe in the machine shop where I worked. That old saying..."he's all thumbs" is totally wrong. It should be "he's all fingers". I know. I have trouble starting a nut on a bolt now because there is no feeling ...

Re: Me and the Brown Recluse..(shake out your clothes)

I have a friend that lives near Branson, MO and has battled brown recluses...and has also battled the bites. I emailed him yesterday as he once told me of a miracle cure for the bites. Just heard back from him and the compound is called silver sulfadine. It's controlled and you need a doctor to writ...

Are you sure that date is right? I have a '95 Exocet and a '97 Exocet that both came with carved tip limbs. Gary

Re: out of season rut or casual sex?

That happens also when the buck to doe ratio is way out of whack. Not enough bucks to breed all the does when they go in heat the first time. It's common around here. We see fawns with spots just before the beginning of bow season Oct. 1 all the time. Gary

Re: Bugs Build along

Mike, the way you did the trigger guard and the grip area is beautiful. At the risk of making your other customers mad, I'll say that's the nicest one I've seen you make yet. Look at the color of those stripes below the cheekpiece. I just love walnut. You bring out the best in a piece of wood. Gary

Re: Foiled break in attempt.

I live in the country and will always keep a big dog. I think people are actually more afraid of dogs than guns when it comes to breaking in a home. Too bad your dog didn't grab the guy and shake him until he turned into a dishrag. I'll bet that perp picks another house next time. Good work do...

Re: Give the man a medal

A friend of mine just finished concealed carry school. The instructor told him to be prepared to pay around $70,000 in lawyers fees for the lawsuit that will ensue when you kill someone breaking in your home. Even if you're in the right and are not charged at all, a civil suit can make you pay, pay,...

Re: I'm Not Sure I'm Going to Make It!

Looks cold up there. http://www.bogley.com/forum/images/smilies/cold.gif My suggestion is to stock up on various types of alcohol, get some knife sharpeners and stay in the house where it's warm, in the recliner, sharpening all of yours and your neighbors knives. At least until it warms up o...

Lost my dad Dec. 16. He was a great guy. Never let us down, not even once. My brother and I are heading to mom's Sunday to split up dad's gun collection. I'm excited but sad at the same time. Gary

Re: Bucks still fighting in January

Where I live the buck to doe ratio is way out of whack. The result is the does don't all get bred on the first go around at the beginning of Nov. They go back in heat a month later, along with the yearling does. Some of those don't get bred either until still later and you end up with mating going o...
