Re: Accurate?

You are a perfect example of why we went to the 150 grain heads. As the bows increased in velocity we saw accuracy issues increase and after testing I was shocked that the groups were opening up radically after 20 yards or so. We honestly couldn't find a 100 grain broadhead with fixed blades that w...

Re: Accurate?

vrodman, I had the same exact problem with Firebolts and I am shooting 100 gr. Spitfires. I contacted Danny Miller (740-483-2312) and he built me a set of arrows that every single one of them will impact within a 1.5” dia. circle at 40 yds. FYI: I shoot an Excalibur Vixen and I get. 270 fps with th...

Re: Accurate?

Rope cocker, Arrows sent with package, plus extras I bought. I numbered each arrow and each one will hit same spot but not same spot as others. Maybe I'm being anal, but at 20 I have 2 1/2 groups out of 12. They do this at 20yds, I can only imagine what it would be at 40. I have come to the conclusi...

Re: Accurate?

I'm not any kind of xbow guru, but it's my understanding that Excalibur designed the Firebolt to shoot heavier heads such as the 150 grain Bolt Cutters. My Firebolts do well with 150 grain heads but not so great with lighter heads, especially the 100 grain broadheads. Carbon Express crossbow arrows...

Accurate?

I'm fed up with my Firebolts. I have approximatly 20+ and at best can get 3 to group at a time. I would like suggestions on a maker/brand or both that I could just grab one without looking and know it's gonna hit where I put it with the one before. I can do this if I match them up but now I'm down t...

Re: hope the drought isnt causing this

Did you check the color of his tongue? Was it black? If it was you have CWD in your area.Last year around where i hunt we lost 50% bucks to CWD.After seeing your cam photos i hope that not the case. I really don't know much about his area but we are on the north/west WV line in VA and just last yea...

Not taking it the wrong way. Just a suggestion. I personally have found that not all bolts will shoot the same after I marked them. I documented where each# bolt hit at least four to five times and they were consistant, but example (1 may be dead center and 5 be 1/2 off at 1 oclock). If I could find...

Have you tried marking your bolts to see if the same bolt is doing the same thing each time. If so, narrow it down to a group of bolts that shoot together. I mark 1,2,3 etc... I was taught this and know some other bow hunters that do it and there is a difference in bolts.
