Being able to accurately and confidently take an ethical shot out to 400+ yrds. Maybe the only chance you'll get. Most archers I know who bow hunt the...

Re: “Thoughts on Sunday Hunting”

Had that conversation with my pastor before. I was asked why I wasn't in church on Sunday.

Told him I was hunting.

I couldn't get any closer to God , than where I was. Sitting on top of a mountain, miles from the truck, right where you told me to go !

Re: Worked in the woods today

Always thought food plus be an easy solution. Ha ha! Spent a whole day ,prepping and seeding. Seemed a little late , but better than never. I was for small 10ft by 20ft areas in the shooting lanes. No --' once my b-law got started , was go big or don't go. I was like, no use having them stop and mun...

Fall turkey, deer

Hello all- Wondering how the "yard birds" are doing in your area. I'm up here in the Northwoods of wisc. , with fall huntin seasons a few weeks away. Turkey numbers seem down from last yr. But I was here end of oct.. Just saw my first chicks, I mean days old. Seems a little late for nesting to be st...

100 grains of any brand pushing at least a .300 gr bullet. I like powerbelts.

I like spinning them like a top on a table. Very aerodynamic. Try that with any other bullet.

Re: Any Muskie hunters here?

I guess I got lucky last evening. I took my new musky rod out for a few casts. Hooked a nice 28 in beauty. Not bad from shore on a boardwalk under hwy 45. I was tossing a small inline spinner. I saw her chasing it about 15 ft away. Wack and the drag starts talking. I yelling at my wife to go get the...

Re: Happy father's day

I just used a store bought rub. Injecting s a great option for flavor. Google has a range of temperatures. Etc.. 135 was running blood. Also a lot of 160. Nice juicy pink at 150. Remember every smoker is different. Keep on smoking. PROPER Field care of game meat , makes for the tasties table fare !
