Re: NICE!!

Even a very limited hunting season would be good thing. Having had a close personal encounter with a grizzly in Montana, I can tell you firsthand that grizzlies have absolutely no fear of humans. Animals aren’t stupid; they know when they’re untouchable. (Just look at deer in city parks.) Learning t...

Re: Followed me home...

Hope you can give us a Review. I’m interested in hearing how it compares to the traditional Excalibur trigger—which I consider only slightly better than mediocre.

Re: Evidence does not support call for gun bans in Canada

Pretty depressing to discover that corruption is EVERYWHERE, isn’t it?

I’ve gotten to the point where I no longer wonder why there’s hellholes like Somalia and Afghanistan. Instead I marvel that there’s ANYPLACE that’s NOT like Somalia and Afghanistan!

From your lips to God’s ear.

Unfortunately I’m afraid the more likely scenario is she eventually gets elected President, cows get outlawed, and you and I will be eating soy-burgers!

Re: Opportunity Knocks Canada!

Trudeau’s movie-star persona probably got him 90% of the woman’s vote. You regular guys didn’t stand a chance! In the age of television what the politician stands for doesn’t matter. If they look good and the Media loves them, they’re in! I’m just trying to figure out where I can emigrate to when Al...

Re: Broadhead Identification

I bet if you asked on the Tradgang.com forum, someone there could tell you. They look like late 70’s to early-80’s broadheads to me.

If you do it, wear safety glasses while shooting it—or better yet, a face mask.

I’ve been told by those who use them extensively that you want the welded hull, not a riveted hull.

Re: Solo hunting solution

If you Canadians had deer like we’ve got here in the South, loading them in the truck wouldn’t be an issue: just grab ‘em by the scruff of the neck, and toss ‘em up into the bed! :)

Re: wooden wolverine stocks

Danny Miller had one at BooFest. It had cedar branches spray-painted on it in gray for camouflage. I think he said it came that way from Excalibur.

Check out the goats foot lever and the gaffe lever. Both were used to help cock medieval style crossbows. The gaffe lever is a bit easier to build than the goats foot lever.

Shaffern has a great suggestion!
