The peak of the first one was Nov. 15 up here. So 28 days later is when the 2nd rut arrives +/- .
Not as intense as the Nov. one. Bucks will be more opportunistic if the situation presents itself. They won't be expending as much energy at this time as in Nov.

Processing. It is easier before the meat is frozen then thawed.

I use a fillet knife to remove as much as possible during the butcheing process. The backstraps are easiest to fillet I find.

I call my varmint guns "Red Mist".
