Re: Hunting setup!!

You have a 92 gr insert, why not 100 gr b-heads, you'ld chop off 25 gr right there.

I use BEE 20" same insert and vanes for 400 gr [total] w/ 100 gr point. Shot out of a Y-25 @ 310 [or so] fps.

I shot a 1000 lb cow buff at 20-25 yds w/ a 446 gr arrow, passed thru her, fwiw.....

Re: Brace Height

Setting/maintaining b-height is no biggie... you can use your rope cocker w/ str aid, only takes a few seconds. If you get a str aid w/ the plastic sleeve on it, your choice to remove it or keep sliding it out of the way for the hooks on rope cocker....I '86' them.... Look for the vid [on ...

Re: Brace Height

Shooting with a "too low" brace height does place added stress on limbs and limb tips. If brace height is "too high" you will loose a few fps in speed. The speed loss is not damaging to anything. You will need a stringing aid. Yes, Danny Miller sells a great one. Danny also makes the string that co...

Re: Half moon or flat nock?

excaliburs use flat nocks Here's why..... If your xbow has claws [hold the string] flip up into the rail....flat nocks. If they flip down into the rail, half moon. The 'theory' is the 'up-flippers', the string slides down onto the rail, the 'down-flippers' it rides up a bit.....

Re: Brace Height

Wouldn't go quite that far, it would maybe tear up your string or cut your bumpers for sure.

If in USA, just call Danny M and get another string like you have [spare] and a str aid............he's got some heavy duty str aids

Re: Stringin Aid

It is now up to Excalibur's "Peter" and his staff to determine if a workable solution is warranted or even necessary. Works for me....Peter is on it..... I don't really have a dog in this fight, perfectly happy w/ my '08 Y-25 and I have several stringing aids. I remember back pre Matrix/M...
