Re: Fresh Rubs and Scrapes ?
Thats one of the things I don't get. I have two big deer one a ten the other an 8 that hang around all year I know its their core area. But in the prime rut they disappear. And the kicker is I have a trail cam on a travel area and get pics of all kinds of bucks I never saw before and will never see ...

Re: Does attracting Bucks
I have 3 does, 2 fawns and 2 immature bucks that frequent my foodplot/bait in my 38 acres. I've never seen the mature bucks eat at the bait pile and are often seen nose down. I have yet to see a mature buck in the same picture as a doe and they aren't captured in the cams near the bait pile. I am a...

Re: Does attracting Bucks
If you get a hot doe they will know and you will get bucks. Like I said in another post I walk my dog in an area where I see deer mostly the same few does all the time. Well this week I saw 4 bucks in daylight chasing so one of those does is now in heat and they found her !

Re: Fresh Rubs and Scrapes ?
Thanks for the replies. Kinda like I am thinking the fesh stuff isn't the best indicator lol
Where I hunt at home there is only one main rub line that is active all year but camera work tells me its mostly at night.

Fresh Rubs and Scrapes ?
Reading longbow joes post about moving his blind to fresh rub got me thinking. Has anyone every had success over a fresh one time scrape or rub? I'm not talking about the rub on the same route you see every year and you just wait for him to refreshen it but new rub or srcrape that you come upon whil...

Re: One reason I own a Excalibur
I used to moose hunt with 3 other guys they all decided to get crossbows and talked me into it. They all bought 10 points and said I should get one. I liked the excalibur and got an exomax. We travelled a long way to hunt and camped way out in the wilderness well every year one of them had an issue ...

I never killed one in my house, NEVER!  I too enjoy seeing deer up close, it means you're in the right spot, and you don't stink! Keep at it Bill, it's gonna happen! Me neither but my brother in law built his house in a wooded area and the deer travel through his backyard. Seve...

Re: Which is real?
Had my buck decoy out last night and the big 10 I'm after came out at the far end of the field. He came down to 70 yards to check out the deke but wouldn't commit and walked off the way he came man I was already frying up the backstraps but got fooled. Looks like you have all the bases covered there...
