Thanks for all the help folks. One more question and I am done. Are the instructions that come with it fairly comprehensive? I just don't want things flying out when I lift the mount off of the beast.

I agree. No need to go any higher in poundage. Shooting a crossbow should be an enjoyable experience. Like Boo said, a heavier broadhead/arrow combination (450-500 gr.) will do the trick. Welcome to the forum.
