Re: Alberta county calls for independence referendum
Like spoiled children. Willing to throw Canada into turmoil over a narrow, greedy mindset. Pepperidge farms remembers when Quebec wanted to separate and Alberta/Saskatchewan were the loudest condemning them. I for one wont be cheering you on.

Congrats. I've had my beast almost ten years now. She still shoots just as good as the day I bought it. When I start slowing down from age, I will get the barrel cut shorter to Ibex size. Have fun, shoot safe,

Re: Question for arrow enthusiasts
I did the same thing till I started gluing the fletch in hand. I wasn't going to waste a vane so I shot it to test accuracy. No difference at 50 yards and under. Soaking the jig arms in acetone is a great tip. I'll add that a stiff fibre brush helps to speed the cleaning process.

Re: Vancouver Island deer
Dont bother with the North Island. The deer population is at an all time low. My sons town is awash in predators at the moment. Lots of decent bear hunting though.

I'll probably be pilloried but I feel that like an alcoholic, the US will not get better till it hits rock bottom. Just like the time period you are referring to, Anthony.

Re: CR 2032 battery drain in X bow scopes.
Nope. Two years on one battery and still going strong. Try a different retailer for a battery. If it still drains fast, send it back for warranty.

Every bear I've taken with a rifĺe was shot using 150 gr. .303. Like Paul said, shot placement is key.

Re: Refletching
A procedure I have adopted over the years is to hold the vane between my thumb & index finger and apply the glue, then put the vane in the jig. It seems to keep the jig cleaner for me when doing several arrows at a time. I also apply very little adhesive, and smooth it out with a Q-Tip stem, not th...

Re: Excalibur Hunting show
I quit watching tv when all the documentaries turned into really stupid reality shows. Hunting shows turned into product showcases with very little actual hunting. Like mentioned above, utube is much better for hunting and fishing.

Re: Gut check arrow wraps. Anyone try yet???
Ya, I'm not falling for this. I was told at a young age, bright blood, heart. Bright blood and bubbly, lungs and possibly heart. Dark blood, livershot. Green means gut shot. It has stood me well enough for almost fifty years.

Re: Excalibur micro 315 stringing aid
My stringer when on the the limbs reaches my arrow hold down. Very little effort is needed to cock it that way. All you really need is just enough to loosen the string for changing. Any shorter is a waste of energy. Hope that helps,
