I have four Excalibur’s a m380 blackout, 350LE, Vixen II and a micro 355 and still I want a 340 axe. :shifty: Between my BEE’s, quills and diablos I have close to 160 arrows and still I want a 340 axe :problem: I have enough Spitfire and slick trick broadheads to stock a shelve at Bass pro and still...
An Axe 340 or a Vixen II with a cranking aid.
Even with bad shoulders the vixen may be doable without an aid.
In my old age I’m learning speed is overrated
I have a 380,350LE,micro 355 and a vixen. All of mine have Hawke mounts other than that it’s tact zone scopes and stock strings save the 350LE.
I added a trigger tech trigger and a Hawke scope with a custom string. I figured since it was a limited run bow I would dress her up
I use a Trijicon front sight that slides onto the rail of my Mossberg 930 If I remember right it came with a front and rear orange glow sight but I only ever used the front. It’s much brighter than what comes on the gun and completely blocks it out when I put it on. I don’t even remove the factory s...
I have a micro 355 so I’m trying to justify to myself why I need an Axe. The camo pattern on your bow and a good speed with a 400ish grain arrow is getting me nervous.
I use crossbow specific spitfires and regular spitfires out of all my crossbows. I use one dental band on them for insurance. Probably don’t have to but it makes me feel better.
You should be fine.
My 350LE is shooting 342fps with a stock string and diablo arrows. I’m using 125gr spitfires...sounds like your right where you need to be. I’m sure you’re KE is close to a hundred pounds. I guarantee it hits like a truck.
Good old tried and true regular 1.5 inch spitfires. I’ve tried many different broadheads...fixed and mechanicals over the years and keep coming back to them.
They fly to within a half inch of my field tips no matter which bow I’m using and the blood trails are great.
Isn’t it funny how your perspective changes as we get older :?: Years ago I would have probably already taken a shot in that position but now like you it doesn’t bother me to let one walk. When I was a young man I just wanted to kill a deer, any deer. Then to be considered a good hunter it was about...
Looks like your ready to go
Great to hear from you again
I installed a water heater in Port Royal Friday, drove right by the entrance to Paris Island and thought of your son. Thank him for his service
I’m having some limb issues with my micro...I had it dialed in with stock quills and 125gr heads for a total weight of 375grs. I think that might just be to light with all the stress on those small limbs. I have two dozen 18” BEE’s with 100gr tips come in at 421 grains. I’m thinking of buying the so...
