Re: OT (bug out bag)

I haven't really thought about that...until now..

But in this new climate, I am carrying everywhere. Even on a walk around my neighborhood. I also got some magnets for my truck so my pistol is readily accessible on the dash just under my ignition.

Now you got me thinking...

Re: New Xbow for 2021

People need to take a deep breath. For anyone that says they will NEVER buy this, well lucky for you Excalibur still makes "single shots". So no skin off your back. I'm sure we'll learn more about the limbs that were developed for the Twinstrike pretty soon, but it looks like they are constant widt...

Re: Excalibur TwinStrike Crossbow

I live in an area where we have tons of deer, and I hunt a lot on depredation permits. I can't see myself shooting a deer and watching it run off, and then quickly shooting another one without knowing exactly what happened on the first one. I passed on a buck this year in this exact scenario. Shot a...

Re: Extra Limbs

I think it depends on your situation. I have a Micro 335 and a Micro 355. If I am only hunting at around home during out loooooong Sept to Jan deer season. No big deal. If a set breaks, I could swap or switch bows or get a bow repaired. BUT....... (I do have a set by the way) if you are going on an ...

Re: Target advice

I bought a BLOB target this year and could not be happier. It stops my 16" MIcro arrows with 10" still sticking out of the target with fixed BHs.

Nice Keith, and thank you.

My tip is to use the newer Instant Pot that does the same in 45 min or less (and using less hydro) rather than a 6 to 8 hour wait.

Be interesting to see how tender it would come out. Do you think the apples would still cook down to nothing in that time?

Re: Calculating FPS

Yep, what Chris said above. The EXO series seem to drop 1fps for every 5 grains, the Matrix/Micros seem to drop 1fps for 2 - 3 grains. MANY MANY MANY on here will tell you from experience that a 400 - 450 grain arrow with a haevy front end will improve accuracy and perform very very well on deer, pa...
