Re: 40 Strand Dacron String

Other than 'creep', are there any more disadvantages of the D97? I have one on a Micro 355 (an endless loop) at the moment and switched it off with a Flemish string (not one of yours though) and the dacron EL was very noticably quieter and faster. It does require me to check brace height often so n...

Re: cheek piece and trigger question

Although polishing your latches will improve serving wear, you do not have a serving wear issue. Slight tiller issue? Would that separate a serving on one side only? Seems like it would cause more pressure on one latch. Keith, unless the serving is really sloppy, one side will separate first. The s...

Re: cheek piece and trigger question

My matrix seperates the serving in less than 100 shots. Doesnt fray anything, just spreads the wrap on the left side primarily. Re: cheek piece and trigger question

I used a vinyl camo made by GunSkins (www.gunskins.com) on my Micro Nightmare. Put it on the rail, the quiver hood and the cheek piece. Was easy to do and is very durable. Not sure if they have Serenity, but they have a ton of patterns. Try polishing your trigger latches first, unless you want to up...

Re: New 2020 Bows!

..... 1. I am NOT a fan of the take down feature. To me it serves no real purpose...but that's me....also, I find that although the connection to the rail is rock solid, the stirrup is NOT and not that it rattleS but it is not solid as the screw on stirrup. 2. I hope that A. when limbs do break on ...

Re: Sighting In At Short Yardage

I have to shoot in my basement and can only get 18 yds. Should this be equal to 20 when sighting in? Should I be slightly high with my 20 yd mark? Without knowing your setup, here are some generalizations from my 400gr setup coming out of a 335 Micro. AT 0 yds my arrow is about 2" below the scope, ...

Re: Ramcat Hydroshock-X

I shoot Ramcat 125s all the time and love them. I don't see what is different with the "Hodroshok -X". Possibly just marketing. The 125s are a big bigger than the 100s you are shooting and I can just get them inside of a normal 4 arrow Excal quiver. But they don't fit all the way into my 3 arrow Exc...

Re: My swhacker experience

I shot 2 deer with 2" swhackers. Older green ones. One was quartering away and I hit right at the back rib and out near the shoulder. ABout 30 yds. BH was buried too deep in a tree to remove. The other one was a small doe where I hit a bit high and clipped the spine. I was on a hill above the deer. ...

Re: Question about unstringing and dissipator pads

If your bow does not have airbrakes, then you can unstring it with no problems. If it does have airbrakes, then you need to remove the airbrake rubber pads before you let the limbs down. But as many have said already, you don't really need to let these bows down like an old vertical recurve bow. But...

Re: Rage 125 for micro 335 adding weight

I think the easiest way would be to add Lumenoks (28gr) and bump up to 150gr Slick Trick or 170gr NAP FOC. DIablos are not as stiff as something like a Zombie Slayer so you might get a little extra flex with the heavier head, but hunting accuracy should be fine. The heaviest arrow I have found is th...

Re: Med body, small rack 8, bizarre twist - literally

Congrats on the deer and the recovery! Great story. I have had similar experiences with the montecs. They fly great but not too much blood IMO. I shot a doe once 15yds through both shoulders with my Vortex and a 125gr Montec CS. Complete pass thru and with both shoulders broke she did not go far (ma...

Re: quills not lasting

why I use alum arrows ! Alum is not better. Shoot them into a foam target with a field point and you will easily bend them, or bend them pulling them out. Heck I even got a slight bend on an Easton Full Metal Jacket, which is just what is says, Aluminum over Carbon. Shot it and it was perfect. Shot...
