Re: Toxic broadheads

I've had success with them, and yes, they will wreck a target, but they dropped my deer. Had no broken blade issues, but have heard of those issues with people who unknowingly bought FAKE Toxic's.

If the price is to low to believe, your probably buying copycat broadheads

Re: Range Finders

I bought a Simmons with arc compensation for 120.00 at Fleet Farm last year and love it. Sportsmans Guide sells them as well. Got the same one on sale also, for around $80, works just fine at the short distances I need it for. I compared it to my buddies which cost $300 and at 50yards and under we ...

Re: A Sad Day For Vermont

As already said, Private means Private! I find it completely disrespectful if you hunt on someone else's property without asking permission.

Re: Staying warm while hunting (sitting)

I also use those chemical packs you shake up. I buy a big box of them at Costco, they are dirt cheap that way.

You can also try putting a Thermacell inside your jacket, minus the bug repellant pad of course.

You found him dead? That's odd, did he look sick? Rabies?

Re: Hard Case

I had that case, and it's a great, strong case, but it's BIG, to big for my car, but if you are throwing it in the back of a pick up, it's perfect.

Lol true, I've had mine half flattened by snow, but it popped back with no damage after brushing the snow off.

Re: Ground blinds owners do you?

If I remember correctly, I think I seam sealed the seams on my Doghouse. I would also set my tent up outside at home to air it out, and then put it away in the bag, along with a bunch of cedar branches.

Re: Look what arrived at our house yesterday!

You made me feel welcome years ago when I first came here. I've watched your posts all these years. It's nice when nice people win. Congratulations! I got the same treatment from Monica at BooFest years ago. I showed up not knowing anyone, and Monika welcomed me, and then took me around to meet eve...

Re: LYMES

Ticks are the only thing in the woods that scare me.

Poor local kid here, suffered for weeks before they treated him for Lyme disease. He had no bullseye around the bite, and more importantly, the mother says he had the tick on him way less than 24hrs, and still got Lyme disease.

Re: Doe tag

I hunted two weeks during bow season and a full week during rifle, and saw the same Doe twice, nothing else. :( Didn't seem right to shoot the only deer in the area, so I let her pass.

Glad to hear other zones are doing better
