Re: Deer cart upgrade

Hope it's everything people have said, I just ordered one from Scheels, $116 to my door. Wish it had solid tires and straps , but the design looks good. The tires will stay inflated for you. I hauled a doe over 300 yards with mine up a steep side of a ridge with no straps used (I did have 2 in my p...

Nice video, you do a lot better than me holding the pic still. Here is a video I shot a few years back that has a kill in it towards the end. Skip to about 1:15 when you start it.

This is for Boo!
Don here is a pic of my Crawler in the bed of my Honda Ridgeline along with my climber. The bed is just 5' 2" long and it fits in well.

Re: busted in ground blind

these deer are staring straight at the blind from across the field, wind in my favor. then they bolt off. blind has been there for about 6 weeks. they seem to know when I'm in it. they bed about 150 to 200 yards from the blind. side zippers only open about an inch or so to peek out of. think I'm go...

Re: Deer cart upgrade

I killed a doe back on the 20th and had to haul her out of a deep valley around 300 yards to a road so I used my new Hawke Crawler. I loaded her up and went to dragging over some very rough terrain that was almost all uphill. With my old cart I had to stop and clear a path every few yards but the Cr...

Re: Should I doctor Scrapes

I checked a camera today and had a nice 8 point make a scrape right in front of it and has not been back since. I peed in the scrape to see what happens. Will check it again in 5 or so days.

Blue on anything I don't remove often. Nail polish on anything that I do remove often. NEVER red on your crossbow
I do the same thing. :)

Re: 340 axe usage

I ordered a Matrix 350LE from Al's and was not charged any tax. Why is it being added now?

This is correct. On Al's site you can look at price in Canadian and USA dollars.

Re: Down River Trip

I put up a ground blind day before yesterday at about 11 AM and checked and reset a camera on the food plot. I noticed my batteries were at 59% so I went back today and replaced the batteries just in case. I checked the pics and was surprised to see a doe followed shortly by a 4 point buck walk acro...

Re: SIGHTING IN THE A420TD

If I was shooting at the bottom dots and missing over the top of my target I would know IMMEDIATELY that I had a bad problem. I would not try a 2nd shot till I figured out what was wrong. I don't know of many scopes that will give 16 to 18" of adjustments. :eusa-deadhorse:

Yep, kill Mom, and you might as well kill the fawn too.
Around here I tell people that if they shoot Mom they are just making coyote bait out of the fawns. I have seen a few fawns running with another doe and fawns but I doubt that happens real often.

Re: Should I doctor Scrapes

If you feel that you really need to dotor one up before the rut starts just pee in it. Doe in estrous scent is not natural until the does actually go into heat and that is a week or two off for most of us.
