Re: Should I doctor Scrapes

So I speed scouted my stands this weekend and there is a big scrape on a small beech tree 20 yards right in one of my shooting lanes and has a licking branch hanging down. I have some friends who are telling me I should be putting different doe P scents in the scrape to keep the buck coming back. I...

Thank you.
I would think you should be within 1/8" of POI at 20 yards if not dead on it.

Re: SIGHTING IN THE A420TD

.... thanks... I was able to get it pretty much sighted in dead nuts at 30 yards by moving the scope forward as far as it could be moved until stopped by the rings... I’m going to try changing out to the Hawke XB30...my problem is time and range access! Anthony  And what did that do for your e...

Re: Posting KEEP OUT

I'm l lucky to have some properties all to myself. Now because of my connections at work. But the majority of the archery hunting takes place here by "trespassing " . Its very simple no ones gonna give you permission to hunt the railroad tracks, the 10 acres behind old k mart, the island in the indus...

Re: Lots of rut activity here and it's kinda early

I'm seeing some rut activity here in Missouri too. There are two scrapes near one of my stands and while I was in that stand Thursday, I saw a small buck pawing at a third scrape. All of this while most of the leaves on the trees are still green and very few visible signs of fall. We have had two g...

Re: Smallest deer

Good on you. i have been passing up every decent size doe that I had a chance at because of fawns with them. I finally got a 1 1/2 YO that did not have a fawn. We are having a very good fawn year. :)

Were you using a two-blade broadhead?

I’ve had that happen with two-blade heads, but never 3 or 4-blade heads.
Yes it is a 2 blade head.

Dead doe but a weird shot!

I was sitting on stand this morning and had already had a spike and a large doe with a small fawn walk by. At about 9:30 I had two does come running in and stop in front of me. Before I could pick up my bow the larger one turned and spotted me in my tree from 40 yards out. She stared at me for sever...

Re: To pee or not to pee

I have had does, fawns and small bucks walk right by after taking a pee out of a tree. I have never seen a shooter buck at least 3 1/2 year old or older after doing so though. I carry a pee jug now.

Re: Servings

Just wondering how much people pay for putting a new serving on a string? A couple days ago I left 3 to be re-served and was quoted $7.00 each. Well, I need the strings and it is cheaper than buying new ones. Perhaps it is time for me to learn how to do servings? That sounds reasonable to me if the...

Re: Assassin problem

In front of the limbs! The Air Brakes. I take s Those suckers off as well. Find the pad and glue it back on with a cyranoacryic glue. You could go onto the Excalibur website and figure out the name of the product. I did glue it back on. Why do you take them off? I would take them off because IMO th...

Re: Does the new axe and TD shows use matrix limbs?

Absolutely! I'm running what appears to be first gen blem limbs on the Axe and so far no issues. And they have a pretty good chunk out if them too Janesy, what are you saying? You have the NEW axe model and you have put blem limbs on it that have a chunk out of them? Where are the original limbs? I...
