Re: baiting deer with sugar

Beekeepers use sugar to make a syrup to feed their Bees before the nectar is flowing. So I would find a Beekeeper and trade the sugar for some of their Honey. Then buy some corn for feeding the deer. Better for the deer than sugar and easier to use.

Re: Treestands !!!

I also use a Summit Viper and have found it to be an excellent climbing tree stand. It is very comfortable. I have sat in it for many hours comfortably. As far as safety mine has never slipped on me and I have no fear in using it. As with any of the climbing tree stands they can be an issue to pack ...

My Vari-Zone scope has gone south on me. Should I buy another Vari-Zone or upgrade to the Excalibur Tact-Zone

I use them in a Excalibur Exomax crossbow. Does that make a difference?

Re: Armchair comandos dislike excalibur

I've had other hunters comment that my Exomax was too wide and heavy. When I showed them how I could replace the string and uncock it without shooting an arrow it got their attention!! They were also impressed that with the exception of waxing the string it is essentially maintenance free. I clean t...

Cabelas 20" Stalker XBolt Arrows

Is anyone out there using the Cabelas 20" Stalker XBolt Arrows? If so how are they working out for you?

They come with plastic nocks I have heard. Do they hold up well?

Re: who's ordering a new xbow?

Every time I get the itch for a new bow a shooting session with my Exomax changes my mind. It just shoots and handles so well for me that I can't see selling it. Hey, maybe I could just keep it and just buy a 2nd bow!! Seriously only having the Exomax means I shoot it a lot and I need the ...

Re: Good friend of mine hurt in tree stand fall

I never climb in my treestand without my safety harness and Downsafe attached. http://www.downsafe.com/ My wife requires the Downsafe while I am in the tree stand. She made a good point about how in the world I would get down from the tree if I did fall and couldn't get back in the tree stand!! Bill

Re: climbing treestands

I have an Ol'Man Drone climbing treestand. Very nice stand and solid on the tree but it is kinda heavy. Ol"Man advertises it at 22 lbs. but I tend to think it may be a little heavier judging by my back pain. You do have the ability to adjust the angle of the top and platform sections up to 5 inches ...
