Re: Wyoming 2015 diy hunt

Nice Buck!! I lived in Wyoming almost 14 years and steered clear of Ranches. My only problem with the system there is that it is very difficult to get permission to cross their land to get to public land. For the Ranchers Big Game hunting is a Big Business. When I left in 1991 access to some public ...

2014 Backyard Buck

This buck was taken in my buddy's back yard. About 40 yards from his house. Shot it with his Exocet using 175 Grain Crossbow Slicktricks. The buck was hit in a lung and ran 40 yards before he dropped. http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h144/ko4nrbs/IMG_3624_zpse42177c6.jpg There are several bucks tha...

Re: IBEX SMF ---- sweet bow!

I've been very content with my Exomax but the bows with shorter limbs are really tempting me!!

Re: Treestand safety line

I use these with my Summit Viper climbing tree stand. Lot's easier to use than the flat strap included with the body harness. http://www.huntersafetysystem.com/rope-style-treestrap/ http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h144/ko4nrbs/Climbing%20Rope_zpsq2ckzfot.png In case I fall I don't want to have to ...

Re: Lighted Nocks or Not?

I've watched many videos of deer hits using lighted nocks and can see where it that application they are very useful. My issue with most of them is the high price for them. I have a small fortune invested in deer hunting already and never seem to have everything I think I need.

Re: No One almost got lucky tonight.

A good deer decoy may help. Lot's of info on the web and some good videos on You Tube.

I bought two manufactured by Tinks but haven't used them yet.

Re: baiting deer with sugar

Beekeepers use sugar to make a syrup to feed their Bees before the nectar is flowing. So I would find a Beekeeper and trade the sugar for some of their Honey. Then buy some corn for feeding the deer. Better for the deer than sugar and easier to use.

Re: Treestands !!!

I also use a Summit Viper and have found it to be an excellent climbing tree stand. It is very comfortable. I have sat in it for many hours comfortably. As far as safety mine has never slipped on me and I have no fear in using it. As with any of the climbing tree stands they can be an issue to pack ...

My Vari-Zone scope has gone south on me. Should I buy another Vari-Zone or upgrade to the Excalibur Tact-Zone

I use them in a Excalibur Exomax crossbow. Does that make a difference?

I need to replace several vanes on some of my Firebolt arrows. Which vanes should I use?
