Re: Feeder Visits

Handsome specimen!
Don,t seem to be in a fightin mood. More pics could tell my imagination if that left rear leg is being favored, maybe.
I ordered that 18-1 Rinehart. Thanks, looks like it will do quite nicely.

Re: Getting an ADF

Cocked, Locked and ready to Rock ... once i release the safety. The safety on the Excalibur's are no where as loud as on my Rem 700, and I can even ease the Rem safety off slow enough to hardy make a sound if any. It's that moment of truth just before your ready to take a shot that excites one to t...

Re: Getting an ADF

Ha! a certain rifle manufacturer did make a mouse trap safety that nearly killed deer by concussion when throwing it off. I learned to by holding it between thumb and fore finger ride it down quietly. :x You,ll feel more comfortable with ADF in use, that can,t be bad. I would need the bolt that is to...

Re: Hauled out 3 deer Saturday!!

Yeah, I was really happy for my buddy. This is just turning into one of the strangest hunting seasons I've had in a long time. The way its been going I couldnt find a deer if you tied it to a stake in the middle of a field.  Hmmm, maybe talk only of squirrel hunting, a squirrel decoy and ...

Re: issue seeing all member names........

I,m confused by your question.
Names are listed by join date in that order ,not alphabetically.
Unless you are seeking a known members name that is not listed......

Re: brain fart?? or old age

Have had similar days working third shift years back. Middle of a lake minus a fishing rod. Sitting in stand while quiver rests on cab of truck.
Age was not a factor but there were times I could have hid Easter eggs and not been able to find them.
You had coffee though, now thats important!

Re: Buck Fever @ Age # 50?

Ohh yes. I have missed some bruisers! Once in a great while it goes right. When its a miss with me its not the equipment. One of the biggest bucks I,ve seen was doing a knock down running battle while a doe came in and a yearling buck came in and butted the giants respectable opponent! There was no ...

Hello Excalibur crossbow forum.

After sitting out six years of archery seasons after near four decades of it, an axiom is going to be the answer next season.Doubt this years remaining archery from the way rifle is going but that lovely weather and deer at leisure is so missed. Cocked and uncocked it to prove a one legged guy can. ...

Re: Always approach a downed deer from behind.

Eyes closed, possum deer.Yes from behind .Lucky it was not a large bear. Shot one that was still breathing with broken shoulders several times from behind over a couple minute period, aiming between shoulders with little effect, till I skinned it and saw a nice tight group. I thought the few revolver ...
