Re: Hi My username is :

Hi, my username is Brother Ron. I harvested 2 deer and have all the venison I need till next year. I find it very difficult to live without my crossbow in my hands and go through a target every year between hunting seasons. At night I toss and turn trying to justify spending more money to purchase a...

Re: The Grizzly Matrix

I have the Matrix 310 which is pretty much the same as the Grizzly. I LOVE IT!! Have had a 330, poop brown vixen, and a 355. The 310 is deadly accurate and has taken 4 deer in 4 years :) (I took 2 more with the 330) The 310 is deadly accurate, fairly quiet, easy to cock, and very reliable.

Canning almost complete

Last batch is in the 22 quart pressure canner now. I used the basic recipe I posted on here earlier and used a couple different variations. 1/4 teaspoon canning salt used with each pint... 1'st batch I added pepper and onions. 2'd batch jalepeno pepper slices. 3'rd batch Cajun seasoning. 4'th batch ...

Re: Nocternal Deer

I had to change my hunting strategy once the rut got close. As the rut draws near the bucks begin to change their travel routes.... In stead of going from their bedding area to the food source they begin to travel routes that will intersect where the doe's are most likely be. Once the rut begins the...

Closed out my season.

Was off work the past week so I spent it at the cabin hunting. I have one in the freezer already but needed one for canning. Been seeing four 8 pointers running together on my camera at night but they started coming in a little earlier. Since the season is almost over I told myself I would shoot the...

How was the Rut action up by you? Did you ever kill that buck you were after?
He lost the 3'rd antler that came out the back of his head in a fight with an 8 pointer....
he then left and showed up at a neighbors 3 miles away.
