Snow in the mtns. 150 miles north. Deserts are now 70's daytime and 50's nighttime Archery rut season here the month of January. A few friends are doing better in the mtn. there's a good chance that older mature bucks can and do sound off louder than younger bucks.

same holds true for a lot of species !

that's not to say a few youngsters aren't loud mouthed!

We had a wasp jackhammer do basically same thing. 3 blade mech. Quartering away at 25 yrds from 15ft elevated stand. Very little blood Found bolt with threads inside the insert Whole broadhead had snapped off. No penetration blood and o ring 1/2 ,in up shaft. Brand new never shot. We sent in pics. T...

I've shot a mission 320 a few times. Great bows, I'm sure the 400 is the same.

Love the 1/4 walk in the pre dawn . Barely enough light to follow the path. If you hear a snort or a grunt ,its not really going to spook the deer out of the area . Plus if it's a grunt. I know a buck most likely. Sitting in the stand waiting for first light to illuminate shooting conditions, is awe...
