Re: “Thoughts on Sunday Hunting”

Had that conversation with my pastor before. I was asked why I wasn't in church on Sunday.

Told him I was hunting.

I couldn't get any closer to God , than where I was. Sitting on top of a mountain, miles from the truck, right where you told me to go !

No --' once my b-law got started , was go big or don't go. I was like, no use having them stop and mun...

Re: Tree stand dilemma

Our tactics have changed over the yrs, talkin nwisc. 3-4 yrs hunting public land central wisc. Cluster of people everywhere. Deer pushed hard. Even remote spots. We,d use natural blinds and climbers. Little success. Started hunting n.central wisc. Last 3 yrs. Mostly small private land hunts. Double ...

Fall turkey, deer

Hello all- Wondering how the "yard birds" are doing in your area. I'm up here in the Northwoods of wisc. , with fall huntin seasons a few weeks away. Turkey numbers seem down from last yr. But I was here end of oct.. Just saw my first chicks, I mean days old. Seems a little late for nesting to be st...

100 grains of any brand pushing at least a .300 gr bullet. I like powerbelts.

I like spinning them like a top on a table. Very aerodynamic. Try that with any other bullet.

Re: Any Muskie hunters here?

I guess I got lucky last evening. I took my new musky rod out for a few casts. Hooked a nice 28 in beauty. Not bad from shore on a boardwalk under hwy 45. I was tossing a small inline spinner. I saw her chasing it about 15 ft away. Wack and the drag starts talking. I yelling at my wife to go get the...

Re: Happy father's day

I just used a store bought rub. Injecting s a great option for flavor. Google has a range of temperatures. Etc.. 135 was running blood. Also a lot of 160. Nice juicy pink at 150. Remember every smoker is different. Keep on smoking. PROPER Field care of game meat , makes for the tasties table fare !

Re: Elk antler question

Is it possible the rack might have been stained/painted in the course of its 20yr s on the barn- some times white /chalk antlers are stained to get them to look more natural. which is absorbed into the bone

Can you post a picture of the rack ?

Not to sound indifferent but they sure look a lot like most 4 blade muzzy ,I've ever used. But will say after watching the shootout test on the traffic sign. The blades look tuffer and have great penitration. The wasp lineup show performance is looking great. Freind shot jkhammers last yr. And was i...

It's awesome that everyone had a great time and an exciting hunt. Very cool looking ram that Colton shot.

Any chance a picture of Dangerous Game was taken and can be posted!
