Re: Smallest deer

 Yeah , we decided only mature does with no fawns. Sure the fawn was from a late rut encounter. Really tough when the fawns are so small they are still in Hiding mode. We did take one "long nosed" doe. No fawns with her but still probably had them running around somewhere, it can be a tough...

Re: Posting KEEP OUT

Guess it was a guest of a neighbor down the rd. We still made it known it was land he wasn't suppose to be trespassing on. We also told do not let it happen again or legal açtion would be taken! !

Posting KEEP OUT

Hunting the same private land, the last 5 yrs. Most people around area do not post. I can't speak for owner , an I know it's not a big deal to have signs up, and most don't like signs everywhere. Think you have to have them so far apart etc. So it usually takes a lot of signs. But, after the other d...

Re: To pee or not to pee

Yes there was a study on deer behaviour and human urine. Proved deer can actually be attracted to human urine. They even did chemical analysis. Final result was human urine has the closes chemical composition as a deers urine. As far a what size container to use. Good luck with your water bottle. Th...

Re: Darkening Limbs

I d use sports wrap tape .

I got some all blk medical wrap tape , it stretches and sticks to itself.

I'm sure that would be worth trying. It comes in different widths and colors. Tape ends to secure.

I use it on ankle to secure guase for an injury.

Re: To pee or not to pee

Ok up 15 ft in a ladder or climbing stand. Several layers of clothes. Balancing act just to stand and stretch. Let alone a place to hang bow, and have both hands free. Let alone trying to line up a small opening of a water bottle, even a gatorade bottle.

To pee or not to pee

:shifty: :eusa-snooty:

Do I get down, it's prime time. Been sitting for hrs. Bladders going to burst.
Do I just let it fly , trying not to get stand soaked.

Will the smell scare any deer away ? Or keep them from coming

Re: How much time in the stand/blind?

Know deer movements between feeding and bedding are important info. Most will travel same trails and times , if not really pressured. Last fall , you could almost set your watch at a group of does movement . 5:30 pm here they come ,down the same ridge . So we'd go out about 4 -set till legal shootin...
