Re: Smallest Deer
The smallest deer I shot was my second deer kill. Shot with my old Ben Pearson recurve back in 1971. My hunting partner called it my "Lunch Box" deer. He tied the 4 feet together and carried it out of the woods like a lunch box.

Re: weight for bolts for 355 Matrix
I shoot Gold Tip Pro III's, with 112 gr. lock n load inserts, Firenocks, 2" Blazers, from Jerry at South Shore. They weigh in at 416 gr. Shoot around 320 fps. I use Exodus Broadheads and I get 3 in. groups at 60 yards.

The egg crate style suspended ceiling light grids work real good.

BE CAREFUL
When opening up your hunting blind this year, BE CAREFUL. Yellow jackets don't like to share. Racing down a ladder front wise is slow going. Much slower than the bees. Hit at least 8 times in back of legs.
Have a safe hunting season.

Warranty
Just had to tell about my experience. Last Tuesday, I discovered an issue with my M 380 ( bad limb ) . Called Excalibur, talked to Peter, explaining I was leaving for a bear hunt the following Friday. Sent a picture, got a RMA, sent it in Tuesday afternoon to Woody's. Just got today (Wednesday)(8day...

GoPro Camera
I have an opportunity to get a great deal on a GoPro camera, and was wondering it anybody has use one for hunting? I don't think you can zoom in with these, so I not sure if I should buy it or something else. If anybody could chime in on this, it would be helpful.

Arrow Retainer
Just put got a new Matrix 380 and have a question about the arrow retainer. It seems that it sits to close to the rail. My string actually pushes it up as I cock it. That would seem that it would give extra wear on both the arrows and the string. I tried to slightly bend it up, but it just goes back...

Re: Hey Matrix Owners
Does this mean a string from a M355 will not fit on a M380. Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought the limbs were all the same on all the Matrix s. I was going to give my 355 Flemish made by Vixenmaster to a friend for his new 380.

Re: Shot my wife's Matrix 330 (Impressive)
I sighted my wife's 330 in today and I'm pleased as usual when it comes to Excals. I sighted it in at 20 and then went back to 40 and then did a little tweaking from there. I put it through my chrono after I had her dialed in my 20 in. Black Eagles weigh 438 gr. and it shot those at 313 and 314 fps...

Re: Xbow Hard Case
Plano makes two different hard cases. The Manta (1133-00) which is huge. And also one called the Bow Max (1131-00) which is somewhat smaller. My Matrix 355 fits in the Bow Max perfectly. You will want to add 3 inch foam where the limb tips rest.
I think you would be happy with the smaller one.

Moose Hunt
Thinking about a moose hunt with a couple other guys, and have been looking at a place called Horwood Lake Lodge near Timmins, Ontario. The owners were new last year so they don't have much in the way of references. I was wondering if any of you forum readers, have either hunted there or know of any...

30 mm Rings
I am looking to upgrade my scope rings on my Matrix 355. I am using the Hawke XB30 (kind of short). Don't know if I should get aluminum or steel, what heighth (low med. or high), quick detach or not, torx or allen screws, tactical or just regular. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
