Lone Wolf Stand Question

I just purchased a Lone Wolf Alpha hang on treestand and see it has two different setup options. One option is with using the EZ Hang Hook (must be purchased separately) or with using an Off-set bracket which comes with the stand. I am curious if there are opinions as to which method is best and why...

ASSASSIN BOLT LENGTH

Does anybody know the bolt length for the ASSASSIN?

Is it 18 inches?

Is the min weight 350 grains?

Re: Meat Eater T.V. Series

I have been watching Meat Eater for several years and consider it to be the best hunting show on TV. Steven Rinella is the real deal.

His books are a very good read and I regularly listen to his podcasts which I find to be interesting, informative and entertaining!

Re: Staying warm while hunting (sitting)

I wear high quality Smartwool merino wool socks but for me the real trick is not allowing my feet to get sweaty hiking to my stand. If I have a long hike I wear a different pair of socks and when I get to my stand I take off the sweaty socks, dry my feet and put the dry merino wool socks on. Feet st...

Surprised to see bucks rubbed off already or even the velvet sheading. Thought it would be another week or so for this to start

Re: Has Anybody Done This

Thanks for the feedback. I am glad to see others have tried this. I like the idea of covering the bow in a large plastic bag as I was concerned about how it would perform if it developed frost overnight and the bag should or may prevent this from happening!

Has Anybody Done This

I have a spot I am planning on hunting this year from Halloween to the middle of November. It's a very long hike in (almost 2 miles) and I dread carrying all my gear every morning. I was contemplating leaving my X-Bow in the tree overnight so I don't have to hike it in every morning. Other than the ...

Re: Broadheads for moose

I have found the newer 100 grain Thunderhead Razors with off-set blades to be extremely accurate even out of my Bulldog 400. I can shoot 1.50 inch groups at 40 yards with them and the POI is within 2.00 of field points at 40 yards.

The Razors have a shorter more streamlined profile and fly great.

I am getting a consistent 366 FPS with a 402 grain bolt using a Flemish string 2.00 inches from the riser seam.
