Review: Draw Loc Vertical Crossbow

This is a cool little vertical crossbow. It is basically a mini compound bow with a stock. Things I liked: awesome trigger pull, lightweight, quiet. Things I didn't like: Keep your hands on the grips and body parts away from the string and cables!, hand cocked. This takes down with the press of a bu...

Review: Case Knives Russlock and Cheetah

I like W.R. Case Knives because of a story my Dad told me. He had a Case copperlock that he liked because it had an orange handle so it was easy to see in if you put it down in the woods or darkness. One day while working on a deer he broke the mechanism, the blade went over backwards. He called Cas...

Review: Excalibur TACT 100 Scope

I really liked this scope. It is clear, small and bright. It did not seem heavy on the crossbow. I figured out how to use it in about 2 seconds of looking through the glass without instructions. A lot of long range scopes have a lot of stuff going on in the lens. The TACT-100 was pretty simple and n...

Review: OnCore Archery Targets

These targets are cool because of the variety and low price. They are 5/8" self sealing ethafoam. Basically you put these on a bag target, haybale or other safe backstop. They are very light and easy to use so you can set up a fun course easily and change it just as easy. Instead of leaving out...

Review: Excalibur Micro 360 TD

This was my favorite Excalibur! Why - because I can handle it by myself. The Micro 360 TD is short, narrow and lightweight. The crank makes it easy for me to cock it and I had some trouble de-cocking it but I could manage. It was quiet and did not have a lot of vibration. I was able to do the take d...

Review: Lil Bow Peep, LLC sight

The Lil Bow Peep was one of my favorite new products! This is a sight that is a rangefinder and video camera all in one. It was really easy to use. You shoot your arrow or bolt and then move the little reticle to where it hit. You can set it for a lot of ranges. Right now the aim points are little d...

Review: ConQuest EverCalm scent

I'm not going to review stuff until I use it or if I tried it at the show (like shooting a bow). I got this scent last year and used the whole stick on a lot of hunts in a lot of places. It is like a waxy deodorant stick. I like it because it doesn't drip or splash and it sticks to what you rub it o...

Re: 2019 ATA has started (for us)

We made it home late last night and have to go to school today. Thank you to everyone from the forum that we met! My Dad feels much better about who I talk to on here. There were a lot of great items and some things I looked for that were absent. I will write some reviews on my favorite stuff later....

Re: " HUNTING "

Sometimes I like to sit and wait to see what comes. Sometimes I like to try to stalk something. The whole thing is fun. Taking about it, practicing shooting, putting out blinds and checking cameras. It's the whole deal that I like. It sounds like you had a great adventure.

Re: Thoughts on the 308 short...

When we were at the archery shop they had all the listed versions of Excaliburs in stock. I like the 308 Short the best. It was well balanced, a great size and easy to hold still aiming.

Re: What would you do?

I would become more of a brand Ambassador for Excalibur. We have two of them and they are ideal for kids and teenagers because they are almost bomb proof and very safe. Excalibur makes a strong bow that has a lot of safe features for a good price. Other brands are getting my friends attention. The c...

Re: ATA

I think we are traveling further than the Canadians. The Jim Beam company and Kentucky Derby are off-limits to my age. We are looking forward to the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory.

I thought the ATA was closed to the general public? Only archery industry insider allowed?

That is true.
