Re: OT: July 13 - The Biggest Supermoon of the Year
I woke up at 2 AM and looked out at the moon and it was definitely full and bright. But it looked almost exactly like it did the night before and I couldn't say it looked any larger at all.

Re: Seed spreaders
Can you rig up a ole choke cable and bracket to work it manually? The problem is that it sits about 13" from where I sit on my side by side https://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.zMFfoJy7trsQwNDr7XyHlwHaC6&pid=Api&P=0&w=416&h=163 I think you meant 13' from where you sit instead of ...

Re: Using a crank harder then using cocking rope?
Just pick up any Ravin crossbow and it will be easy to crank if you can handle around 12 lbs of pressure. Then grab the string and attempt to pull it back a little by hand. No way in hell are you going to rope cock one of them more than once if you can even do that. Cranks make cocking crossbows eas...

Re: O/T National Police Officers Memorial Week
So may i ask a question to the law enforcement officers both retired and current, would you do it again? Taking into account the ptsd, the friends that you have lost, the changing public perception, current politics etc My oldest son is considering perusing this as his occupation. My wife is a fune...

Yep that is an insert made by Jerry to get around the patent that Dorge filed a few years back trying to keep SSA from making Double Tapp arrows.

Re: Which Cooler?
You can actually save money by spending money sometimes Joe. I do a lot of saltwater pier fishing most years so I bought a 50 quart Yeti cooler from a guy that had too many for approx 50% of retail after trying several cheap coolers out over the years. I have not bought a single bag of ice while fis...

Re: Do you feed them through the year?
I have been feeding deer year around for well over 40 years now and have never bought a bag of corn or other feed for them. Plant food plots and they have year round food available 24/7. It is a lot less expensive in the long run also. We don't get covered up with a lot of snow here.

Re: Turkey Practice
I use rage hypos for my turkey hunting. I have taken several turkeys with these heads and vertical bow. Every turkey i shot was DRT, didn't go more than a foot. I haven't taken a turkey yet with crossbow, but i will use the crossbow exclusively this year. Good luck this season. Here are two shot wi...
