Re: ANOTHER SNOW storm... greatt!!!!
They are calling for it to get partly cloudy down here. I had to drain all the water lines in the cabin. Everyone is scrambling to secure shelter for their cows, and the watermellon farmers are concerned that there will not be a crop to sell this summer. You all keep your heads down up there. Hopefu...

Re: Knives???
Well, I too ordered some of those knives Grizzly mentioned-Forschner, by Victorinox. Scary sharp. Ordered the boning and 2 fillet knives. The little woman took the boning knife inside, and then she said it stays there. Been too cold to catch fish, but from the feel, they will work perfectly. It was ...

Re: changing back to standard sights------no scope-------???????
I don't think you will save much weight by changing bows ( all about the same 6 pounds ) or removing the scope. You will still have to lug it. I would think a nice sling would get you to your stand and a rest of some kind for craddling it whilest you wait. But....a new bow might make you feel better...

Down here people skip the dogs and chase them down themselves. Then they wait till he charges and then they stick them. Insane.

Yes...Yes- you are a star. Very nice.
That one will let you shoot more often, maybe even better, and you get to enjoy building a bow all over again. Good on yah.

Re: Ground Pounder vs. Miller Mount
Petev said- It seems like the STS might be a good idea. I believe it is. Upon arrival you may need some advice regarding installation. Believe a slight modification is in order. :D ....but it changes the feel of the bow, absorbs vibrations, and I believe made my bow more accurate. The bow certainly ...

Re: Hey Y'all
The STS requires a small modification. Shame you didn't register earlier, you would have probably asked about the problem. Simple solution actually. The string stoppers will not quiet a crossbow. There is way too much extra energy left over from the launch of the arrow. This extra energy creates vib...

Re: Rope Cocker Aid
I tried something similar, but they handles clanked when I shouldered it. Afraid it would do that at the wrong moment. Ended up keeping them around my neck, which I still ain't sure is very smart.

In the second picture, the target on the right shows that you could do it again.
Is the new sight allowing for better consistency somehow ?

Re: need some customer success photos
The deer round my parts heard I had obtained a supply of cow whackers and split. Guess some things are just too much for them to tolerate. Had to use a rifle.

Re: RECURVE OR COMPOUND
The Vortex is the best bow out there. Plenty of steam to go clean through, yet tame enough to be enjoyable to shoot. My second choice would be the Ibex, for the same reasons. If you have to have blazing speed to satisfy, then get a compound. If it is just for hunting and plinking, get the recurve. T...

Re: Apex - SureLoc mounted - UPDATED
Interesting. Short people stand back. Looks like it takes some really long legs to cock the bow, what with the stirrup extended like that. Doesn't look like there is any way to get around that, due to the sight. But....it would be more accurate the farther you move the crosshiair from your cus...

Re: Apex - SureLoc mounted
The same hole at 10 yards is impressive. You could shoot flys if you smeared some jelly on the target.
I assume it is either more accurate than a scope, or you are trying to meet some rule regarding scopes.
