Crazy, WOW! Really nice buck, both of them. Don't forget to post them on the other forum too. We need the points.

Similar experience here yesterday. Sitting in ground blind (been in place for a month) I saw the rear end of a deer out at 60 yds or so. It was walking away, so I gave a can call. Nothing. Then I did a 3 grunt series. Deer jumped fence then came walking steadily towards me. I glassed it to be a nice...

After not using a aclimber since '98, and getting busted more and more lately, I bought a Viper a week ago. MUCH better than the loggy climber I used in '98! Hated that thing. Uncomfortable, didn't deel secure/safe. Now the Viper, love it! Quiet, secure, stable, and best of all comfortable! I have u...

These do not lock down as some scopes do with a lock ring. It will tighten up some on its own, when the o ring settles in. If you want to "lock" it in place just wrap with a turn and a half of electrical tape. Won't move then.

It's not only the extra length and 25 lbs of draw weight. The Vortex shoots 25 fps faster. I have both, and as much as I like the Ibex for all day shooting, the Vortex always seems to get the nod when shooting 3D or hunting. I like the extra speed! Ibex will do anything you want to do though. YOU ma...

I did find the front half of the arrow, it was only about a foot from where the rear half was found. Was just too dark to see with the mini mag lights we had(my son forgot the propane tank for the lantern). 3 of the blades were still shaving sharp, but the 4th was bent as if it was wrapped around a ...

First Crossbow harvest 2009

Finally saw a buck this evening. Came in at 6:35 pm. Appeared at 40 yds, but just kept walking. He stopped for a second to get some browse and I shot. I believe he moved just at the shot. The GT Laser II tipped with a 125 Slick Trick magnum entered just under his spine in front of the right ham. Exi...

My experience has shown that this is usually due to an arrow shaft that is not straight.

IAM CANADIAN and I had a good dialogue in the other thread he mentioned. Almost had me convinced too! Talked to some of my buddies who have hunted out of tree stands for years, some with the xbow. Their responses all indicated regardless of stand height, shoot for level ground yardage. As I haven't ...

quote "You are correct that an arrow shot perfectly level will hit the ground as one dropped from the same height, but your above statement contradicts itself. The arrows time of flight can't be "a little longer", yet still hit the ground at the same time." I know it's not going ...

Yup, clear as mud. Gravity affects the level shot arrow the same as one dropped at the same time, from the same height. The shot arrow just goes further from the point of firing. Elevating the shot arrow causes it travel farther, but it still hits the ground at the same time as the one shot level, o...

I find this last post interesting. I have just decided to hunt from a tree stand again after 11 years. I purchased a new climber with all the goodies, and safety equipment. I used the Pythagoreum Theorum, and found that at 15-20' up, there is basically only a yard difference from ground level to tha...

Thanks for the video! I really wondered about how much less the string moved. With my STS system (homemade) I don't see any string marks on the rail much past the stops. Other bows w/o I have seen string marks up into the riser. Proves to me that not only keeps string off riser, but limbs settle dow...
