Re: Single Reticle Scope for HHA Optimizer

For hunting purposes I really like the HHA L4 scope which is made by Hawke. It is an illuminated 3X scope. It is not a great scope though if you want to split arrows at 70 yards as the center crosshair/dot is too big for that kind of shooting. It is a great hunting scope though.

Re: What i see for the Micro

I think Excalibur could do themselves a big favor and over 3 different height cheekpieces. This would really help the "fit" of the bows for various people. I wouldn't think it would be hard for them to do.

Re: European Mount of my wife's buck

apparently he plastic skull euro mounts are gaining popularity, even with the professional taxidermists; skull cleaning methods are losing favor. I guess colonies of beetles are hard to raise and keep, the boiling method is to time consuming and messy.....and just leaving the skulls to nature can a...

European Mount of my wife's buck

Did a Euro mount of my wife's buck. She wanted a dipped skull so decided to try this. Basically a fake skull that you screw the antlers to. Turned out pretty well and she liked it. Only took about 20 minutes to do. http://masterofskulls.com/store/details.php?prodId=66&category=2&secondary=&a...

Re: How many notches are in your stock?

Our one Matrix 380 in 2 seasons has taken 14 deer with 7 of them being buck and also 2 gobblers. I didn't notch the stock though. LOL.

Mrs. Cspot's First Crossbow Buck

The Mrs. doesn't get to hunt a whole lot with running kids to activities and such, but today was a day with no activities. We hunted this morning and only saw one unknown deer behind us. We went back out around 2PM and within 10 or 15 minutes on stand we had 3 doe come in front of us. The one was ju...

Birthday Buck

I have always wanted to kill a buck on my birthday but have never had the chance. This morning in Western Pennsylvania was a beautiful morning but the deer movement didn't match my expectations. After not seeing anything from daybreak till 930 I decided to move out the ridge a few hundred yards. Saw...

Martina's Doe

Martina has had a pretty eventful 24 hours. Our location tonight was in a blind sitting along a new gasline that has some oaks on the other side. The deer ended up being right in the middle of this pic. http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp255/cspot12/IMG_03211_zpsb6702b7d.jpg We had a fairly eventf...

Martina's Buck

Yesterday evening found us sitting on top of a ridge that has several oak trees. Here is the pic of the view. She ended up shooting the buck on the left side of the picture. http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp255/cspot12/IMG_03011_zps86d45076.jpg About 5:30 or so we saw movement to our left and sa...

A doe for Emily

It definitely wasn't the best weather night for hunting with hot temps and shifty winds, so we went to a blind that isn't far behind the house that sits on a food plot. We didn't see a thing until a little after 6:30 when this one walked into the field. It ended up feeding to about 15 yards before i...

Colton's 8 Point

Too tired to give very much to the story as our spot is a little ways back in, but here is a pic of the setup. http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp255/cspot12/IMG_0244_zpsc1fb1e6a.jpg Earlier in the evening Colton had busted this doe that had come out into field. The shot was perfect and she was de...
