Re: Return to Alberta's Badlands
So a couple of my Buddies have been scouring southern Alberta for a Muley worthy of consideration for my Partner's first bow hunt run over there. They have found a few, and perhaps even a whitetail worthy of looking at... In the meantime, they wandered home a couple days back, only to find this hand...

Re: Dental band breakdowns
Just received 4 packages of 125 grain Spitfires through Amazon.ca.
All are packaged the same as I have always bought.
All bear the US Flag and note: Manufactured in USA.
Got Lucky I guess, but the stock is back up to a couple years again...

Nog

Re: Med body, small rack 8, bizarre twist - literally
Great tale and fantastic recovery! Be damn proud of your fur kid!! Mine sadly wondered off this spring. He had collected well over a dozen "lost" deer in our heavy forests over his span. Never failed. They are an incredible asset, and a fine family member. Congrats to you both! C...

Re: Dental band breakdowns
I know lots of people will disagree with me, but why add unnecessary risk to your hunt when there are lots of broadheads out there that don't require dental bands to prevent them from malfunctioning? I prefer fixed blades myself, but if I went to an expandable, it would have to be the most reliable...

Re: Which spitfire BH
I use crossbow specific spitfires and regular spitfires out of all my crossbows. I use one dental band on them for insurance. Probably don’t have to but it makes me feel better. You should be fine. Ditto That. All I've ever used after giving up on the boltcutters. Never failed me yet. And...

Re: String Question
Many Thanks for the replies Folks! Appreciated!
The string currently on his bow is in excellent shape.
So all we really need is a back-up.
Sounds like one of mine will suffice.
Very good to know.
And Boo - he will be getting in touch sooner or later...

Nog

String Question
Will the string from a Matrix 380 fit on the Bulldog 400? My partner has no back-up for his Bulldog, I have several for my Matrix. Impending hunt, and just realized this! Obviously I can lend him one for a back-up if it will work. If not, Panic Time to find one for the Bulldog!!! Wond...
