45 caliber pistol bullets in sabots.
150 grain Pyrodex (3 x 50 grains)
Remington Mag primers.

DEADLY to 175+ yards.

twenty minutes out the back door and up the mountain.
Can run them out over 100 up there.

Other place we often go is a Rancher Buddy's place - about 45 minutes away.
Same range distances.
For him just out the back door.
For us, it's fun with friends...

....on a side note....my BIL who swore by the "Ten Point" crossbow is now using "BadaBig 8).....I am not hearing any complaints as he is pretty much nailing it out to 50yds.... LOL! My Partner also runs a Ten Point. But after the last couple of hunts together, he is seeking an Excali...

The Hawke XB 30 Compact I run has excellent lighting for my eyes.
On the lowest or second lowest setting (again, prefer the BLUE) it is pretty much perfect - for me.
And as noted, has been the regret of many a buck & boar.
Higher settings, not so much.
