I can't imagine not owning a quality scale for measuring arrows and arrow components. I belong to an archery club here in CT. The hooks have a roller for the string on the cocking aid. I beleive thats fairly important for a smooth draw Yes, and not just for smooth feeling but for accuracy as well.
