Dry Fire Practice

Hi, As some of you know I got my Exocet Friday and put it together Saturday morning but am unable to cock it myself because of recent hand surgery. Until I rig up some sort of wrist strap I need someone else to do the cocking for me. I was going crazy today with no one around to assist me but then r...

Still not sure as to how the bolts are fletched. I've been fletching wood, aluminum, and carbon for years with a bitz. How do you folks fletch CB bolts? FYI... I placed one of my finished Ash arrows having heavy right wing helical on the CB rail and was happy to find that the feather fit very nicel...

Good for you two! Spend all the time together you reasonable can. Looking back it'll seem like it all passed in the blink of an eye.

Welcome aboard fredbeer! Just got my first CB (Exocet) yesterday and shot it today. I was surprisingly impressed with the quality and sharpness of such an inexpensive scope. I got a slight variation of the "Right Stuff" package substituting different arrows and BHs. I think it is a good pl...

Well got up this morning @ ~ 5:30, showered, shaved, eat breakfast, made a dump run and then turned my attention to my new CB. Viewed the DVD assembly and info stuff before heading down to the basement. There was one fly in the ointment, the two screws for mounting the rear peep sight were nowhere t...

It Has Arrived!

No, not another kid - my very first crossbow. Its name is Exocet and I'm told it weighs around 6 1/2 lbs (or is it 200 lbs. ? :) ). Unfortunately I'm at work (well kinda, been spending time watching the UPS tracking data) and its at home. Shucks, just remembered I need to go to physical therapy afte...

My wife loves having the freezer full of venison but doesn’t want to hear any of the details about how it got there. Because of her bird feeders she’s grown to dislike squirrels and I’ve been able to shoot quit a few with my longbow and a compound I once had.

Interesting thread... I've hit two deer in my lifetime of driving (I turn 65 in a few days) and neither was due to careless driving. I've had on maybe a maybe dozen or so other occasions have deer cross or be on the road with time to avoid and know that if you see one crossing there could and often ...

Sorry to learn about your accident and am wishing you a rapid and full recovery. Thanks for sharing though as I'm about to be a new CB shooter and should benefit by the sobering information you posted.

And I thought my Glock was dangerous! :)

Congratulations on your purchase. You will love the Exocet. I bought mine off of Ebay as well and got a great deal. I hope you have a speedy recovery on that hand! Thanks. Saw the Dr. today on the way home from work. He is pleased with the progress I'm making but decided because of the amount of sw...
