Re: Laser ranging bow sights
Nog That is the crossbow model It has a variety of reticles in various Color’s. The sighting in process establishes what your arrow speed is and thereafter a single aim point is shown where the arrow should strike, out to 80 yards. Automatically. Dan Garmin has videos. There are a few reviews. It’s ...

Laser ranging bow sights
I live in a small community which has very limited archery supplies conveniently available. That means when I hear about laser, ranging bowsights, nobody has them in stock. So, as intriguing as the Garmin X1i model sounds, there is no chance for any “hands on” examination. Pictures on paper with a w...

Re: Which Cooler?
Yeti was the first cooler brand that I noticed that seemed to be designed to do its job. I bought one asap afterwards. The cheap crap ones I had been using were given away or consigned to yard sale. I still have my Yeti. Why? Because it was built to last. And do its job. There may now be similar qua...

Re: OT: Canadian Firearm Amnesty Extended
Might seem like an opportunity for bargains. However, you commit a criminal offence by buying any firearm on the prohibited list(except the government. Of course), and so does the seller. Also, you can’t buy and take possession of any firearms kn Canada unless you are the holder of a Possession and ...

Re: The Nip Closer - always a good time.
It seems you had a pretty good time. I think you and I would have had a hoot.
The main thing missing might be getting stuck in a foot and a half of slush—towing a sleigh or toboggan. That really makes the fun part funner.
You made a kind and generous offer. I wish I could have taken you up on it.

What is possible is likely impractical. Contact the retailer directly. If nothing else, he may be able to help by linking you up with a U.S. retailer.

Lethality comparison...4 blade 1&3/16 cut vs 3 blade 1&1/2 cut
I've been using Striker Magnum broadheads for elk hunting. That's a three blade, 1 and a half inch cut. I like the look of the Tooth of the Arrow blades. There appears to be nothing fragile about them! Having a dedicated sharpening system that should give precise, consistent, edges is almost by itse...

That must have been a “puckering moment” when you got charged.
How the heck do you suppose he found out that you are an engineer?

Re: What Is The Downside To Shooting A Heavy Arrow (600gr+) At Deer?
Don’t let the razzing bother you. People dump on lawyers all the time. But who do they call if the city won’t take care of the problem of the neighbor’s barking dog? Or their kid has an accident with the family car? Or their kid gets in a fight and has to defend himself? Just remember the teasing li...

Re: OT: Spring!
I would like to take some photos out our picture window and post them on here. Our Snow Lillies are in full blossom.
I can’t post here because I don’t know how to post photos. The main reason, though, is that they are still covered by three feet of snow.

I thank you for offering yourself up to be picked on. Engineers usually get a free pass . Everybody just simply likes them, it seems. Now, lawyers, on the other hand, everybody loves to dump on them.
Thanks Buddy.

Wow! They’re huge!
Did they appear custom made, or was there some brand shown? A whole deer could fit inside …..may (be) the intention?
Darned autocorrect!!!

Re: Elk Hunting Excitement
Well, Dan, my future stories may have to be drawn from old memories or outright fiction. Where I hunt elk, I have to be drawn in order to get a licence. Getting drawn more frequently than every second year is a dim hope. I’m 77 now so realistically I won’t be able to get a licence till I’m 79. I’m g...

Elk Hunting Excitement
If you have access to Netflix, take a look at Meateater, elk hunting in New Mexico. What a seminar on bugling! It makes me wish I could hunt elk that way. I’ve tried bugling myself, but where I hunt, it works in the wrong way. All that I’ve lured in was other elk hunters. Some came on foot, others o...
