2014 Iowa Whitetail Updated 9/20/15 with pics

Shot this Iowa buck 2 miles from the house, he is a straight 10 with a 164" of bone. Shot him with my M380 and 3 blade rages. He played the game for over 30 minutes, coming in upwind of me to a bleet can. Shot him quartering towards me, running a 18" Zombie thru him almost front to back wi...

How much is too much

I know there are broadhead haters of most heads, so if you can only bad mouth this question please keep it to yourself please! The new rage crossbow 2 blade has the plastic collar, I have been playing with also banding the blade with the small rubbers, on a hard target they deploy fine but I'm hesit...

Cutting Shafts

I bought a Adjustable Arrow Cut-Off Saw on a machined Jig, a 8000rpm motor clamps ect. I'm not sure the proper way to use it. I 've practiced on a junk shaft and if I clamp it in the jig it splinters the bottom of the shaft, if I roll it and cut it, it seems to work ok. How do you pro cutters attack...

Re: what's going on

Ok I'm going to try and be careful about this post. I've been trying for weeks to order diablos with lumenoks and had to cancel my order today. I ordered from D.M. (Initials) on the 1st of this month and have called back every week to see what happened with my order. I was told the same thing all 3...

Zombies .001

As I have mentioned in earlier posts I have been experimenting with Diablos with a number of different front end weight ect. and I have been pretty happy. HOWEVER just for the fun of it I bought a dozen .001/ 20" Zombies put 125 field points, with flat nocks and Lumenocks. The results were shoc...

Re: Question tips for 150 or 125 combo for best precision

It's not the 150gr field tips, it's the fact when it's time for broadheads and hunting season the choices for 150 broadheads is slim in my opinion. But to keep front end weight and arrow consitancy, I need a brass insert to make up for the 25 grain lighter head to keep front end weight. For static s...

Re: Question tips for 150 or 125 combo for best precision

I have rebuilt a # of diablos with different brass inserts, my conclusion thus far> the standard diablo front aluminum insert weighs 38 grains, that shot with the 150gr head shoots pretty good, with the 125 gr head not so great when you stretch it out. With the 80 grain brass insert and 125gr head y...
