Re: an interesting choice, which way would you go...crossbow
I like to think that if the government came into my home without my permission and told me to choose, I'd shoot the government. I probably wouldn't, but I'd like to think that I'd have the balls to stand up for my rights.

Re: Lenth of Pull (LOP)
OK, 14" for the standard stock and 13.5" for the thumbhole stock. As I mentioned earlier, because your wrist is lower on the thumbhole stock, the LOP feels more than 1/2" shorter.

Re: Lenth of Pull (LOP)
158 views, and not a single person with a tape measure and a standard stock Excalibur ?
Come on, somebody...
enormous's Equinox is 13.5" from the trigger to the shortest part of the stock. Who's got an Exomax/Exocet/Phoenix?

Re: Lenth of Pull (LOP)
I only measured my Equinox at 13'5" LOP. The overall length of the Equinox is 38.4" and the Max is 1.1" longer at 39.5". The extra length is certainly in the stock length. Do you see something different?? The trigger on the thumbhole stock models is actually a bit forward (with ...

Re: Lenth of Pull (LOP)
Are you sure? Did you actually measure both types of stocks? I don't have access to either right now, but I recall that the standard stock LOP was only about 1/4" longer than the thumbhole stock. It just FEELS a lot longer because your wrist is much lower on the thumbhole stock. Maybe someone w...

Re: Unbending carbon arrow myth
I was led to understand that "C2" simply was Easton's shorthand for Carbon Composite, and wasn't any specific material.
Carbon arrows definitely can be permanently bent, but it's rare under normal conditions.

Re: Off Season Paracord Stuff
Where do you get your paracord from? I haven't been able to find a supplier in Canada, and shipping from the US has always been more than the amount of product I want to buy. I'm just looking for about 50 ft of black...

Re: Best Shops Around Toronto To View CB
I haven't worked at Bass Pro for over a year. The Toronto Bass Pro sells more Excaliburs than any one other retail store, tons in stock all the time, and you can shoot one there before you buy, and after you buy it they will let you sight it in for short range. Try to go on a weekday (mornings are s...

Re: Oddball Arrow Opinions?
The 350 thing is an Ontario 3D rule. Is it the same in AR? How about you cut the GTs down to 18" and stick with the Blazers and inserts and try different field point tips from 65, 75, 90, 100 grains until you get down to your speed maximum? I doubt if going a bit under 325gr will harm the bow. ...

Yeah, there's nothing magical about 300#. Just tighten the stretcher as hard as you can and serve away.

Re: Scope rings
I've put together hundreds of these over the years, and while there have been occasional stripouts, once they're on they rarely cause a problem. If you're the kind of person who adjusts or changes your scope a lot, then get better quality ones, but if you're an "assemble and leave it alone"...

I believe the scope rings are metric, can't recall if they're 2.0 or 2.5 mm. Do you know?
