Re: Crossbow Sling

I have a Crossbow Buddy that I really haven’t tried yet and also a Slogan sling that is untested. So - I’m in the same boat as the yukonjack. I like the idea of the Crossbow Buddy but am not sure it will carry a cocked Excalibur very well. That remains to be seen.

Re: Bohning Fletchtite Platinum

I used Blazers on Executioners and haven’t had any issues with Bohning Fletchtite Platinum. I also clean with acetone. I use an Arizona fletcher if that makes any difference.

Re: Dry fire!

(Not to hijack the thread) BrotherRon - I highly recommend Boo’s videos about serving on YouTube, (Now back to the matter at hand). I had a “something like a dry fire” on my Assassin. Apparently the arrow somehow got out of the channel or otherwise got out of place before I shot. The arrow obviously...

Well you said “bacon” and “fried” in the same sentence so it HAD to be good! Congrats again on an unusual trophy.

Way to go with killin the rascal VM! You're right about the cottonmouth. We camp in an area near a creek and wetland sometimes. I'm always watching for 'em cause they are there.

Good purchase Chris. Its something you just gotta have and opens up the ability to do more with and to your bow.

Re: Triggertech for my 335

I have a good set from Cobalt, and never have an issue with good fasteners. Ball end Allen's are a must! I have had to use a cutoff wheel for the Dremmel Tool to make a straight slot, and while fastener was still hot, hit it with a straight screw driver, and that always works. I had a friend come b...

Re: The new crank

I wonder if Excalibur has started shipping these in quantity yet. I know I’m on the short list at Wyvern to get one but no word yet.

Re: Triggertech for my 335

In my case the hex key I used (Dillon Precision) was fine. It was the screw that suffered due to either rust or some kind of thread locker - hard to tell which. I like the idea of replacing them with Torx though.

Triggertech for my 335

My gen 1 Micro 335 has basically become an upgrade platform I guess. I am the third owner of the bow having bought it online several months ago. I had just acquired an Assassin but wanted a more basic Excalibur as a backup and to play around with. So - I had the bow like I wanted it but the trigger ...

Re: Assassin safety button/lever question

My first Assassin had to go back to Excalibur because the crank rope was showing significant wear and fraying after less than 30 shots (I forget the number of shots where I stopped). They found a burr on the crank spool that was cutting the rope but they just sent me a new bow (yeah - no one has se...
