Re: .....The Assassin
Yes it has anti-dry fire but there isn’t a lever to release it like on other models since it’s an integral part of the sliding catch.

Re: .....The Assassin
With the Ravin, if the cocking tape breaks, your a sun boogered onion! At least on the Excalibur, you can rope cock it! Plus, if you use the wrong nock, you don't lose a thumb and finger :wtf: Yep, you CAN cock the Assassin with a rope cocker in a pinch but I wouldn’t want to make a habit of...

Re: Can't get to proper brace height - puzzled?
Sounds like good advice. I’ll shoot it a bunch more - no problem there. I have one of Boo’s strings on my Assassin and I guess I was expecting the factory string to act the same way which, of course, is unrealistic. I’m sure it’ll get there and will be fine. I’m gonna put a Boo string on there at so...

Re: Can't get to proper brace height - puzzled?
I have a Flemish string that actually came with it but I need to reserve it. I'll let it sit some more, shoot some more, and may leave it cocked overnight just to see if that helps. As for the bumper, you are supposed to leave 1/8 to 1/4 between the string on the Excalibur bumpers. The DrStirrup dbK...

Can't get to proper brace height - puzzled?
I had a 60X string on my gen 1 Micro 335 and the serving started to separate today. So I took it off and put on a brand new Excalibur string. It was, of course, pretty far away from proper brace height since it was new. I've shot around 30 shots with it now and have untwisted it as far as I dare (st...

Re: Bugs!
I use a pump-up sprayer with diluted Permethrin to. I do a lot of hiking and summertime stuff in the woods and, well, ticks can be downright deadly. I find dead ones on my clothes and especially my socks all the time after using Permethrin.

Re: What is wrong with these people?
I admit I do watch several hunting shows and realize while I’m doing it that these are made for TV . These folks are in the entertainment business just like people who make superhero movies are. They are heavily sponsorship driven of course; ever notice how all of the clothes and equipment are obvio...

Re: Source for cocking aid rope?
I just decided to get a whole new cocker. Cheaper than buying rope actually.

Re: Thoughts on Bolt Weight
A few years ago I did a range study with my Matrix 355 & Matrix 330 changing my heads only from 100 to 125 grains. Both bows were dialed in from 20 through 50 yards with the lighter heads. Going to the heavier with no adjustments yielded no change until 40 yards which was 1)4" lower, and 1...

Source for cocking aid rope?
I need to repurpose one of my cocking aids for a different box (longer) so I need to replace the rope. But I’m having trouble finding strong, diamond braid rope. The local hardware stores here don’t have anything like that and I even struck out at Amazon. So - where can I get the same or similar rop...

I have one on order from Wyvern to use with my Micro 335 and any other bows I buy down the road.

Re: Any Assassin owners experience this with the crank handle?
Gonna use the shotgun for turkey season this year till I get one and then switch to the Assassin. But deer will be exclusively with the Assassin.
