I would go with the slick tricks and if they shoot to a different poi from the field point who cares sight in with the broad heads that is what it is all about not the field tips they are irrelevant.

A cross bow would be useful for gathering food in an occupation type situation ( Red Dawn) but I would not bring a knife to a gun fight or a cross bow for that matter.

It's the way crossbows look that scares the heck out of folks. An arrow fired from a crossbow isn't going to stop after it hits the first, second, third, fourth person...like a bullet would. That crowd would be skewered! :shock: An M1 Grand 30.06 with ball ammo would get a pass through an at least ...

If it is a 2097 string it is what is needed for the older carved tip bows it will work on all bows but the mag tip strings are a better string for a new bow.

You just need to get used to the noise it will be the last thing the deer ever hears.
As for brace height just keep shooting the string will stretch with use.
About every 50 or so shots wax your string and flip it end over end to prolong string and serving life.

Welcome Trucker1 nice to see another Michagander here . The Vortex is a fine choice do it all bow I would just get a rite stuff package you will not be disappointed Bill Troughbridge knows how to set up a good hunting rig . What sold me on Excalibur and recurve bows is the ease of maintaing the bow ...

with out luminock 439 gr
