Re: 335 vs 380 vs 405 limb and engineering stresses

Thanks for the good advice folks. You know I wish Excalibur would make another full sized high poundage bow, like an equinox that runs to 400+ fps with less pressure on everything. I guess the compact angle sells the most units though. Just a short disclaimer, I don't want to make our situation soun...

335 vs 380 vs 405 limb and engineering stresses

guys obviously the speed bows put more stresses on materials. Is there any noticeable differences between the 380 and 405 in durability/warranty returns? I ask as I am in Australia looking to get either one of these or even a 335( just because it looks so cool). While we do have the warranty, obviou...

Re: 405 a good idea for overseas customers?

appreciate the suggestions folks, have to admit though was sort of hoping there would be a flood of " Hell yeah the 405 would be a great choice and is just as reliable" type of post. I keep tossing this one around, might just stick with a lighter bow for reliability as suggested.

405 a good idea for overseas customers?

Gents, just on the amount of limb splinters with the 405 I hear about, I am wondering if its a good choice for those of us who have long and drawn out processes to import one to our countries? It seems a lot of folks are accepting splintering limbs as part of the parcel now. The 'excellent warranty ...

Getting set for a 405.

Hi All, I am fairly new to the forums but had some experience with unscoped excal models from a few years back. I have decided to get a scoped 405 and wondered if some of the experienced folk might be able to assist with a few questions? My plan is to use range finder and graduated fixed power scope...

Re: wooden/laminate stocks for Matrix

thanks I will check them out. I'd also consider any older style stock like the exomags used to have. would these be an easy replacement? would any dealer have spares? I am just not a fan of skeletonized stocks and pistol grips on longarms, even rifles.

wooden/laminate stocks for Matrix

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone might know of any aftermarket wooden stock options for a matrix 405? I am specifically looking for something basic rifle configuration, fairly understated(as in not overly skeletonised) in wood or laminate. I am also stuck in Australia so would need to shipped as i...

Re: Heavy arrows for Aus buff

Thanks again, as mentioned I am not overly advanced and my post was probably a bit misleading- 500-550 is where I was aiming as opposed to the 700+ which will be something for later. I was thinking I might try some of the 20" alum 2219 352 grain arrows as advertised and put a decent broadhead 1...

Re: Heavy arrows for Aus buff

Thanks all I will look into the arrow modification side of things as suggested. That is a new area for me and have not tinkered much with arrows before. Also could one of the heavy 250-300 grain broadheads on the markets be added to a regular diablo arrow for greater effect? Or is this not necessari...

Heavy arrows for Aus buff

Hi Gents I'd like to take a matrix 380 on a water buffalo hunt in Australia. For interest sake wondered what the heaviest arrows one can assemble and where to get these components? Not totally necessary I know they can be taken with regular 450grains but it will add to the memories of the hunt to say...
