Re: Cranking aid question
I use a crankaroo every time I target shoot with my Vortex and Equinox. Both have cheekpieces on and it doesn't get in the way. It must be one of the newer cranks. I am 34 and don't have a bad back, nor do I want one. They are well worth the money.

Re: Swhacker broadheads
I used the 100 grain 1 and 3/4 inch cut. No, it did not go through the bulls neck. It was already deployed when it hit him. It did not go in that far. It hit him where the neck and head meet. At first I couldn't tell what happened. He was doing a really funny dance. Then I saw lots of blood coming o...

Re: Swhacker broadheads
I have used Swhackers numerous times out of my crossbow. They are a truly nasty head. They fly great and penetrate like crazy. I shot a bison in 2010 with one at 40 yards with a ten point phantom. The Swhacker blew through the cow and hit a bull in the neck on the other side that I swear was not the...

My take on the Excalibur Tac Pac
I just purchased an Excalibur Tac Pac and have had some time to play with it. My impression is that it is very well built, light and simple. The main thing that I have noticed that it has done for me is helped me shoot considerably tighter groups at distances beyond 30 yards with broadheads. I now f...

Re: BEST Broadhead with Lite-stuff firebolts ?
With the stock Firebolts my vote would be for the Excalibur Boltcutters or the 145 grain Steel Force Phathead.

Re: Trying to make the Slick Trick 125gr Magnums work
I recently purchased some Firebolts without the front insert from Danny Miller. I then put some 110 grain Goldtip laser 2 brass inserts into them. Those flew excellent with my 100 grain standard Slick Trick. If you want to stick with the stock aluminum inserts then I would recommend the Excalibur Bo...

It is only a very slight gap. The S5 is lined up with the risor.

S5 Question
The S5 on my Equinox has one bumper sticking out a little further than the other. It doesn't really look like one wears out faster than the other. I was wondering if this is normal and could it affect accuracy?

Coop, I also have seen what Swhackers can do. What arrow were you shooting?

Re: arrow hold down spring ?????
Call Dan Miller if you are in the USA. The spring on my Equinox was to high and the string was going under the arrow. The problem has been resolved.

That was strange
I was shooting Excalibur Equinox tonight in preparation for this Saturday's wild pig hunt. I am using Firebolts and a dacron flemish string that I bought from Danny Miller. I was shooting bullet holes with Boltcutters and Steel Force Phathead 145 grain broadheads until the serving unraveled. That st...

Re: Fusion vanes
It looks like the 2.1 inch fusion vanes have a slightly lower profile than the blazer vanes.

Fusion vanes
I have used the 3 inch fusion vanes with good results. Are there any advantages to the 2.1 inch model? Any issues with them being to high of a vane?
