Will this hurt my Bow?
I shoot an excal equinox with fastflight string, sts, firebolt, and 100 grain head. Will this hurt my bow, like crack my limbs?

Re: Excal Equinox kills wild pig
Not innapropriate at all. The first pig was 650 and the second pig was 550. A very expensive day to say the least. Out here it can be very difficult to find a guide who will take a crossbow hunter. He has one fine piece of land and pigs on public land are extremely scarce.

I live in California. Central Coast Outfitters is Near Jalama Beach roughly one hour north of Santa Barbara. The guide also owns an Excal and has hunted successfully with it. Matt

Excal Equinox kills wild pig
December 26 2010 I had the opportunity to hunt wild pigs with Alfred Luis of Central Coast Outfitters. This is my third hunt with Alfred. All of them have been with my crossbow as my primary weapon and the last two I had my Browning X-bolt in 300 wsm as a back up. I met Alfred at the ranch house at ...

shooting tips
I shoot an excal equinox. I have had Danny Miller sweeten up the trigger. I have noticed that when shooting from a rest I can hold the crossbow on target but have trouble keeping it precise at times during firing. I am not sure if it is due to trigger creep or my type of rest. I have noticed that if...

Dry Fired my Equinox
I finally joined the club:). I was distracted and did it. I kept shooting it and it shot as great as ever. When I got home. I got a cotton ball and found a tiny sliver. I have a hunt planned this Saturday for wild pigs. I have a fast flight string and an STS.Everything else but the STS rubber bumper...

Excalibur Equinox splintered limb
I discovered a splinter on the left limb of my Equinox. I have never dry fired my bow and have been using Danny miller arrows at 405 grains. Before that I used firebolts with 100 grain tips. I am using the FFF string with STS. What to Do?

Muzzy practice blades
For those that shoot Muzzys from their crossbow, do you see a poi change between the practice blades and the hunting blades?

Plastic tubing on stringer
The plastic tubing on my excal stringer is really chewed up. Can I just remove it or does it have to be there. I shoot an Equinox and use the rope cocker on the stringer. I don't use my hands.

Re: Are you serious?
The dude told me that crossbows were allowed in the past and that is what they are basing their decision on. I can only imagine that those dorks were shooting Barnettes or some other piece of crap brand that doesn't have anywhere near the knock down power or precision that my Excal Equinox has.

Are you serious?
I contacted Wilderness Unlimited about possibly joining their club. The man told me how they have ranches all over the state full of pigs and deer. Up until this point I have used a guide at 650 per day for wild boar. He told me that some ranches are archery only and some of the other ranches are fo...

Re: Excalibur X act broadheads
Where I live in California we have tons of wild pigs. Unfortunately they are mostly on private property which means using a guide. The pig hunts here range from 500-700 per day with very few guides being crossbow friendly. I am saving up right now and will post results with the x act as soon as poss...

Excalibur X act broadheads
I have been doing some broadhead testing with Excal X act, muzzys, g5 montecs, swhackers..all in 100 grain. I am using Danny Miller arrows and found that none of the above broadheads outperforms the Excal X act in accuracy or penetration. I am shooting an Excal Equinox. They will be on my arrows on ...
