Game animals harvested in warm weather should be skinned immediately and hung to cool over night. Using a gamebag loosely fit around the animal will keep the bugs off the meat. We always used a screen tent as our meat tent for hanging and processing. The animal should then be processed the next befo...

Re-stringing is very easy if you have a stringer. They can be mail ordered through Excal and any of there dealers, OR you can make one from some 1/4" rope in just a few minutes that will work.

Head lamp with green LED bulbs.

If you think you might have some difficulty finding your stand, get yourself some of the glow in the dark thumb tacks and mark your trail going in.

We also enjoy hamburger patties made with 2/3 venison and 1/3 ground chuck.
I used to buy beef suet and grind at 85/15 which i really like.

Sometimes I mix a few crushed saltines in the burger before I press it when making patties to fry/grill. The saltines bind them together and stretch the burger, too.
I sometimes use saltines or breadcrumbs, an egg, chopped onion and a dash or Worchestershire.

I use a 2" 8-32 screw clamped in a vise. Heat the end of the screw with a lighter then thread the arrow onto the screw and give it a few seconds for the glue to loosen then pull and twist the arrow loose. I have also encountered a few that would not come loose but most will.

I have owned several navigation devices over the years including LORAN for boating before they introduced GPS. I currently own Lowrance. One integrated with a fish finder and another hand held for both hunting and fishing. They are great tools, but never leave your compass home either. With a paper ...

I've been using aluminum inserts for nocks but i cut them down just so they weigh 15gr which gives me a better FOC, otherwise they weigh right around 30gr. I'm building 2213s and using 2013 shaft pieces cut at 5" which fit perfect inside the 2213 shaft and glue them just behind the insert which...

BTW - I make my own arrows and am using 2215 aluminums fletched with 2" Blazers and 100 grain points.
What's the total arrow weight? Are you adding any weight forward to the 2215s? I've been building some 2213s with blazers and adding some weight to get me to 430 grains.
