I sort of doubt that is a Fl buck.
I would put money on it being a nice S. Ga buck on his lease.

I hope you are hunting in South Ga. as it is still illegal to bait around my part of Ga.

Re: Boots

I just got a pair of Muck Woody Elite boots shipped for $128.00 off ebay. I have only worn them around the house a little so far but dang if they are not the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. My nephew swears by his after 2 years of usage and he has pretty much tried them all. He says they ar...

Re: Ground blinds or tree stands???

I have spent the last 30 or so years in tree stands. I only used blinds for Turkey hunting at times. I recently had rotator cuff surgery on my GOOD arm so it looks like I am going to be hunting out of ground blinds this year using an Excal Vortex on a Caldwell Dead Shot Fieldpod. My nephew set up a ...

Re: FLETCHING QUESTION

Got a question about the Blazer vanes.
I have a bunch of the original Blazer vanes I used with my vertical bows. Will they work with an Excal or do you have to use the new ones that have less vane height than the originals?

Re: Splintered left limb

Thanks for the advice. I just shot 10 arrows. Shooting well again. There is no noise when cocking now. I am wondering now just how long that splinter has been there without me knowing about it. I checked it out at full cock and it lays in place without sticking out. I am going to leave it as is unl...

Re: introduction and question

At the top of this page on top right is a block that says CONTACT. You e-mail Excal through it and tell them what you need and they will get back with you. I used it today and they have already gotten back with me.

Re: Splintered left limb

Went to twist it up and as I cranked the handle it POPPED. Let it down and did it again. Pop. Everytime I cranked it did it. Was doing it as soon as I started putting pressure on the string. Less than a full turn on the crank handle. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: Made no sense. I took the crank off and pulled...

Re: Splintered left limb

All my bolts. etc. are tight. I have not shot the bow again yet but the string streached last night. Yesterday it was 1/8" off the S5s and had been there for several weeks. This morning it is touching the S5s. I have no idea if this is because of limb damage or not. The two shots yesterday when...

Re: scope adjustment

Set target up at 20 and shoot at a spot towards the top of the target. Then move the target out to 40 yards and shoot the same spot as before still using the 20 yard crosshair, you will hit several inches low. Aim without an arrow again at the top spot and adjust the speed ring to where the 20 is on...

Re: Splintered left limb

It shot a tad high on the last shot. I do not like the sound I am hearing but it might well be the splintered piece popping under stress. It looks like it is less than 1/8" wide and maybe 1 1/2" long right against the top edge. I don't want to break the piece off till I talk to someone fro...

Splintered left limb

I was just out shooting my Vortex using a crank cocker I bought last week. Fired a few shots and was cranking it again and thought I heard something pop when almost at full draw. I checked visually and did not see anything so went ahead and shot. Looked after the shot and still saw no damage. Cranke...

I think the S5 is a must have. I just saw one new in box on AT crossbow classifieds site for $25.00 shipped.
