Re: NAP Crossbow Spitfire Opinions.
I have been using regular Spitfire Max 125 grain and have not had to put any bands on them. My first set up was a Vortex and did not experience any of them opening up. I now shoot a Micro 335 and shoot both the regular and the crossbow ones. The only difference is the tension clip is a slight bit he...

Re: Cabelas refurbished Excalibur questions
I would look at some internet deals along with Dunhams. The deals at the bargain cave aren't that good in my opinion. You can get a brand new one for the price they are asking. I was at Cabelas yesterday and the prices were not that great plus it is used. I got a great deal on EBay for my set up. I ...

Re: 335 Micro Expected Accuracy?
What I shoot out of my 335 is factory quills with 125 grain NAP Spitfire Max. When shooting at 40 yards I do pretty good with that set up. A buddy of mine took a few shots and he went out and bought himself a 335. I'm pretty confident at shooting at game with no problems.

Re: Arrow life.
When I got started using my excal it came with 6 arrows in the kit. I then bought another half dozen. One season I used only 6 arrows by rotating them after I shot my Deer. The following year my pass thru's I hit rocks in the dirt and a few tree roots. I went true about 8 arrows. Like everyone has s...

Re: Micro 335 broadhead suggestions..
What I shoot out of my 335 Micro is stocked quills and I also bought some with Lumenok already installed. The broadheads I shoot is NAP Spitfire Max 125 grain regular and the new crossbow models. I have had great success with them and the quills. When I run out of the Quills I will get some of the b...

Re: Lumenok
My experience is like boo said shave them down a bit. My first one I did was lost an arrow when I was removing the nock in the arrow the heat put a stress crack in the carbon. If you have them without nocks in the arrow you should be fine. It is cheaper to buy them and install them yourself. Since I...

Re: Shooting Through Ground Blind Screen
My experience is that I roll the careens down a bit and I have had no problem. This way it's not costing you money on replacement screens. Like the other guys said is use a thermocell.

Re: Head to Head MICRO 335 vs MICRO 355 chrony
Thanks for the info. I shoot a 335 1st generation and use 125 grain Spitfire Max and the factory arrows 16.5 Quills. I also bought 3 arrows Quills with lumenok. Not sure what what total weight would be but I have had no problems. I really enjoy hunting with the 335.

Re: Lumenocks
I bought some and installed on the factory arrows that came with the Vortex package which were fire bolt carbon arrows. Lost one arrow heat made stress crack. Really took my time on the next ones. Did not like how they seated but they shot ok with a little adjustments. Like brother Ron said check al...

Re: Rage hypodermics
I tried rage when they first came out with my compound and did have some problems with them. When I picked up first excal Vortex I was shooting NAP Spitfire 125 grain. Since then I switched to Spitfire Max for Crossbows and now I shoot the Micro 335 and have great success with them and great recover...

Re: Hoisting a crossbow up to a treestand
I have found in all the permanent stands is I make a loop knot and I run it between the stirrup and then loop it over the stirrup. I also cock before going in stand. Once it gets close you just grab the stirrup. The length of my rope I make never touches the ground , the bow stirrup is about the mid...
