Re: String care
A little follow-up: Yes, the M380 & M405 are used for hunting and do stay cocked for a while. I've used rail lub(Rail Snot), wax(Boo's), Boo's string and JBK primarily, even a little Scorpin serving lub. I've not unwound the strings at all. I got an immediate response from TT asking I send in th...

Re: Matrix quiver rattles
Just what I do. Small field quiver in my pack with 4-6 arrows: FOCs. Hate anything additional on my bow, including a quiver mount even if quiver off. Just my personal preference.

Re: FOC Broadhead
I'd had Big John made 18" Zombies, plastic moon nocks, AL inserts, Blazers - 396g. Southshore - 18" Zombies, plastic flat nocks, Blazers, AL inserts - 406gs. Why the difference? Don't know.tremps01 wrote:Hey Sew , how do you distribute the weight to obtain 406 gr.?
Did you use lighted nock?

Re: The 405 Eagle has Landed
Talltines, I understand now. Thought you were getting rid of the Scorpyd now that you own a M405. I, too, didn't get a big Excal; however, I regret that now. I have a friend who has an Equinox and I didn't care for its size and weight. Shot the loud, heavy thing a few times. Prefered my SZ380. A few...

Re: The 405 Eagle has Landed
Tall tines, please explain the "Scorpyd 165 xxx but not for long...M405". Thanks. Just want to know your comparison and reasoning. I chose a M405 over the Scorpyd. Haven't regretted it but haven't even seen a Scorpyd.

Re: Why does the stiff "side" of a bolt prefer up??
Thanks, Don. Great, reasonable answer. Your thoughts on indexing 18" Zombies : for 380/405 (with 196g total point wt)? Seems to me to possibly not be needed at all.

 UNBELIEVABLE! :? ....Sew, I'm very glad your problem was resolved. Thank you. I had thought I'd posted the problem/fix but lost Internet connection and lost the post. So I'm posting it now. I had 1 limb bolt not release do I couldn't take both limbs off, but did one and was able to wi...

Re: The 405 Eagle has Landed
I'm sure I speak for all us vets , thank you for your thoughts. Personally, after 10 years active(actually USAF - got a transfer) and 5 years guard/reserve, the experience was life changing, beneficial, and a blessing. I was forced in (draft) but God knew what He was doing. Some of us need a little ...

Re: String care
Hi, We are sorry for any issues experienced. Our early triggers had slightly different profiles, so the experiences here might be over a couple different design releases as well as polishing improvements. There are a lot of variables that go into serving wear. Please give us a call if you have any ...

Re: Twisted limb ???
Removed string, loosened the 2 bolts on the front of each limb, re tightened . I had previously checked the tightness of each bolt, looked at the rear(shooters side) of the limb as it goes against the riser(or as close as I could see), and all looked good. Of course, there is the slight upward stres...

Re: String care
I thought the Trigger Tech triggers were made with the intent on improving the factory trigger and to help eliminate serving separation by slightly changing the design of the latches. :? If this is a problem in design it should be brought to the attention of Trigger Tech. You really should not have...

Re: String care
I think the nail has been hit on the head: profile of the TT holding prongs pinching the serving. Boo's site has good directions/pictures. Though very smooth, the latches are somewhat more squared than the Excal latches, but won't stay that way.
Thanks to all of you.

Re: FOC Broadhead
Mike,
That bow record of only 1 loss is likely unmatched. People would do well to see what you shoot and how you do it.
For those of you don't know Mike, I'd take him at his word!
