https://www.nikonsportoptics.com/en/nikon-products//riflescopes/prostaff-p3-crossbow-3x32-bdc-60.html Here you go fellas(point awarded to Billy) :eusa-popcorn: . It not an XR anymore, it's in the P line up. Old or not, there really hasn't been a crossbow scope in the last 5 years to render anything...

Re: New nikon bolt p3 replacement
They are now under the P linup. I'm just learning this the other day as well. But if the changes are what suggested and the price is the same, that's a big win in my eyes. Best part about the bolt is the 11OZ it weights. So you are saying this model replaced the bolt then? https://www.amazon.com/NI...

Re: New nikon bolt p3 replacement
I'd buy three today! What do you have? Two bolts and a factory deadzone, which, are really good scopes for factory offerings. Once I figure out what I'm doing with the Banshee, it'll probably get a bolt as well. I like to keep things all the same across the board. Deadzone by Excal? They don't seem...

Re: New nikon bolt p3 replacement
Do you like a bolt over a Hawke? Yep I can't use Hawke glass but that's just me. The downside to the bolt is the lack of speed adjustable aiming points. If Nikon had a crossbow scope with an illuminated reticle and speed adjustment they would dominate the crossbow scope market. :) I'd buy three tod...

Re: New nikon bolt p3 replacement
So you guys like the Bolt over the stock scope on the Excalibur? I like the Nikon bolt. It has much better glass. What else did you look at? My Excalibur that I bought came with a UTG scope on it. Thinking of eventually upgrading it for better glass but I prefer looking through a scope to see if it...

Re: Help newbie here! Problem when shooting Exocet crossbow
Glad to here. Now get and ADF   What is that? :D I think I know what it is if it’s an anti-dry firing mechanism. So I’m guessing you recommend getting that before looking at getting a better scope? Depends on how many more times you plan on dry firing that poor bow ! Just giving you...

Re: Help newbie here! Problem when shooting Exocet crossbow
Looks like the problem is solved. :) Keeping the fingers crossed. :) Thanks for all the help. It looks like the flat nock I got to test, works afterall. :) After sharing these additional photos I was told to "go for it" & shoot away!! https://i.postimg.cc/Sx98xQXk/IMG-1702.jpg https://...

Re: Help newbie here! Problem when shooting Exocet crossbow
Lots of great advice in the previous replies. I personally prefer the aluminum nocks for my Exocet. Bob And which aluminum nocks do you prefer? or is that dependent on the arrow? I've never liked the plastic nocks. Excalibur aluminum all the way for my beast. Switched my zombies over also as one pl...

Re: Help newbie here! Problem when shooting Exocet crossbow
What ever you end up using just be sure they fit properly when loaded in the crossbow. If their diameter is too small the string may jump over them and if too large a diameter they may not fit securely up against the string. When sliding the arrow up the rail to the trigger mechanism I like to feel...

Re: Help newbie here! Problem when shooting Exocet crossbow
Most folks who know me here know I like to tinker and modify things or figure out a way to improve things. If you look at the black plastic nock in the above photo you will see elongated raised shoulders. A slightly larger OD plastic nock can be used if you can't find the right size and a sharp uti...
