Re: Crossbows For Kids
Wabi and Wheelie, thanks for the insight on the Phantom Jr. I'll reconsider buying one, especially since I can get one for around $100. I'm not a Barnett fan, but if ya'll say the little bow is a good one, that's good enough for me. Taz, I agree. This is one thing that has always confused me about t...

Re: Crossbows For Kids
Facing the same dilemma trying to find something for Ben - the price for the Pixel is way too high. I wish Excalibur carried something more affordable to get kids into the sport. :? I hear ya! I even tried ebay thinking I might find a used Pixel or Apex, but there were none. Will probably go with t...

Crossbows For Kids
Can anyone recommend a light poundage crossbow for training 8 to 12 year old kids? I just started running the Royal Ranger program at my Church. Their archery equipment consists of some really crappy looking longbows and recurves that look like they're on their last leg. We were at our annual region...

Here's my review of it from two years ago. Still own it although didn't get a chance to use it last year. I'd buy another one if I had too!

Re: first law restricting hunting
Seems I remember something about a place called Sherwood Forest and some dude running around in green tights shooting the Kings deer because Peasants weren't suppose to kill them....might be worth checking into if your Mom and Dad let you stay up late....

Re: buying from e-bay
I've never bought a new one on ebay, but I've bought used ones before. I'd make sure that the sellers has a good feedback score before I bought anything from them. Several of the sellers like Bowhunters Superstore and United Outdoors have been selling on there a long time and I've had nothing but go...

Re: Christmas Exchange - what did you get
As previously mentioned I recieved some custom bolts from "Onebigskittle". Unfortunately, he has yet to recieve what I have sent him. 3 weeks, I would have thought, should have been enought time. I sent another package to Ontario a week after I sent Cryon's. This package took 8 days to ge...

Bugs, thanks so much for organizing this!!! It was a lot of fun and I look forward to doing it again next year! I appreciate all the work you did to make it happen :!: And thanks to Cryon again. We ran out of the Maple Cream Cookies and my daughter said "Mom, you're gonna have to get some more ...

Re: Christmas Exchange - what did you get
I received my Xchange present from Clark (Cryon) about a week or so ago. Okay, I'll admit it, I opened it early because I just couldn't wait!!! Clark rocks! I love everything he sent. It's these types of gifts that I really dig and Clark went over the top. Here's a pic of the loot...ummm...gifts tha...

Prayin' for you Brother. I know it's hard to think the Holidays at times like these. I lost my Mom on Dec. 11 in 2007 and my Dad last year on the 15th. Just remember you're not alone and you have a whole lot of friends here who care about you. Try and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!

Re: The BH merry-Go-Round!
Congrats VM on owning that land!! It's a nice feeling to not have a monthly house note!! Years ago we chose to own a smaller/older home rather than a newer/bigger one with payments to match. Thanks to following the Dave Ramsey plan, we made it happen! I bet you felt a load lifted off your shoulders ...
